Equally grotesque and beautiful. The story was gripping, the environments were great to explore, and the characters made it all the better. A short ride but one that was well worth it.

What can I say? 5 minutes in I was deeply intrigued, by the 10 minute mark insanely invested. This game is a beautiful mix of the survival horror classics, expertly mixed with my absolute favorite genre (that’s sadly not capitalized on enough in media in general) cosmic horror immediately making its appearance. While I’m only a few hours in I’m captivated and itching for more between sessions. The gameplay? Balanced and fun. The sound design? Insane. The story so far? Phew… it’s not only incredibly interesting, but also very compelling. The world the devs built is so rich with lore that I could honestly see myself hyperfocusing on it for quite awhile. I’d read any book they put out regarding the world they’ve built. I’m somewhat of a coward, rarely finishing horror games but I can’t see myself not seeing this one to the end. Someone said in another review “don’t buy it on sale, wait for it to go full price, it’s worth it” and honestly I wholeheartedly agree. It’s worth every penny and id be willing to go back and pay $60-$70 for it. Not exaggerating. If you like survival horror, cosmic horror, cute anime girls, compelling story telling, deep lore and world building, and SOLID ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design, buy this game. Worth every penny and every second spent.

No but for real though, it’s beating my ass. Love it. Quality everything. Movement, weight, variety, gunplay, story, it’s just a great game. If you get stuck, try something different. Don’t be afraid to switch it up, cause it may make your life way easier. Adapt, overcome.

Great game. Amazing atmosphere and an interesting world to navigate. One of my absolute favorite games of the 7th console generation.
