I dig it, this game is super chill and there's more to explore than meets that eye. Take the time to play around with farm layouts and unleash your inner OCD efficiency beast....or just hang out....this game is good for both.

Obviously I'm 10 years late to this game, but I recommend.

The pacing feels odd at first, but that's because you're free to roam around and do zones out of order after you unlock various elements. Don't feel like you need to finish a zone when you go to it, they are designed to be left and returned to in many cases.

My advice, stick around a bit longer when it starts to feel overwhelming/confusing. That's right before the gear starts to open up. As you level, pick a tree and chase down all the cool stuff you want in it, you'll pick up another party member down the line that will let you focus on other ones.

Then when it starts to feel like it's getting kinda old, stick around again....because that's just about the point when you realize the build variety you can play with is enormous and interesting. If you stick with it, you can get overpowered to the point where just playing with builds is fun and you're not feeling like anything is too rough.

Also, definitely go for the dragons, they're fun....and if you can't beat em now, grab a level and try again later.

I'll put it simply. It's not good.

Feels like it could have been but it's apparently been abandoned. The dev clearly wanted to do something here, it's just that none of it feels compelling or interesting in any way. I'm a dopamine fiend, what idle "player" isn't, but every time something happened that felt like it could have been an indicator for progress...it ended up feeling like a giant question mark instead.

I only kept playing to get achievements up to my overall average so I could feel better about checking it off my list, and I regret all of the time spent doing that.

I'll temper my thumbs up with the caveat that this game appears to be abandoned.

All of the game loops feel pretty solid and the speed feels just about right. Feels a little slow to start but that fits with this style of game so it's not a real complaint.

Word of Caution: don't leave this on if you think the power will go out, unless you have a solid backup routine. I corrupted a session after an outage and had to restart.

As far as idlers go, this one is quite charming. A work in progress but it's nice to see a dev that's willing to experiment with features and even remove them if they hinder development or fun. Looking forward to future updates. 100% would play again.

Despite a few bad reviews I think this game is on the right track.
Pacing will need some balancing but I've found that the game really opens up if you give it a little time.
It doesn't hold your hand, and I think that's a good thing given the simplicity of the mechanics.

It takes some patience but that's kinda the point of idlers. And supporting the developer reduces that required patience in a way that feels pretty satisfying.

Very interested to see where it goes from here

Clearly a work in progress, but there's something nice about the simple mechanics.
There are occasional bugs, and the naming of pickle upgrades is a bit odd, but I recommend it.

pickle upgrades => more pickles per click
pickle auto => more auto pickles

if you see a negative pickles collected when you open it, try loading manually through the menu.

It's deep, its great, and the variety in styles is more than I could ever really need. I'll definitely be playing again....more than once. Personal recommendation; play it through with a semi-RP focus, just enjoy the story. But take notes while you do so next time you can really feel what power is supposed to be in this game.

Complaints from some folks are to be expected, there are some encounters/walls which punish bad choices and some people end up falling into play-styles that feel cheesy. That happens in every game imho. Just buckle up and enjoy the ride, nothing is fun when you're over-critical of everything.

Why are you reading reviews at this point? The game is great, full stop.

But if you need convincing, imagine a world where handholding in game design wasn't really a thing, a world in which the freedom to do things was enabled and encouraged, where you had to figure stuff out for yourself...then realize that's all something you can just buy and put this gem in your shopping cart.
