I am writing this just after finishing the main story of Haste. What a game. The main gameplay mechanic is so well done that it never feels like the game's fault for something happening. If you mess up, it's on you. The roguelite aspect of it all is so good, the more you play the better you get.

The story is very well written, you don't really know what's gonna expect until the very end. It leaves a lot for you to ponder the further you play through. There are some very interesting twists and the very ending is very bittersweet.

The level of difficulty is just perfect. The further you get into the game the harder it becomes. I do wish there was a more varied amount of bosses, but that didn't stop from every single boss to feel special in their own way. The sense of speed is very well done. You can reach speeds where you finish a level in less than a minute.

Having sunk 9 hours into the demo, the changes they had made and additions they had made were very well done. The update that made the game easier did sour it a bit because i wish i could've just chosen to make the game easier (or harder) instead of blanketly making it easier without the option of changing the difficulty. But that's only a small nitpick.

In short. This game is great fun with a really good story and tight gameplay mechanic. If you like a game that tests your reaction speed and want a really fun story with a neat message behind it. Get this game. Play this game. It's fantastic.

The year isn't even near finishing and this is already my GOTY

When i first played this game, i didn't finish it. But the past few days i got back into it with the intent on finishing it.
This game is an absolute gem of a puzzle game. And while I admit to using a guide during one of the parts of the game near the end because I got completely stumped, it didn't detract from the enjoyment that I had in the game. It's definitely something that I'll be replaying again years down the line when I've forgotten most of it.

This game is a fun take on the rogue-lite mechanic with an interesting story, good characters and an overall fun gameplay loop. The difficulty curve is more of a difficulty slight hill, and i feel like it could've allowed it to be a bit more scary from time to time, cause at the start when i didn't know anything, it felt scary. But as the game went on and i learned more about it, the less scary it became. But i guess that's how these games usually are.

Even though i had already seen the entire game before playing it, it still was amazing to play through it and I can't wait for more

Really fun game with friends and by yourself, but it can get quite dull on the 3rd go around.
