While the "live game service" model is controversial, this is a fun Halo game that satisfies my desires. There's a lot that could be better, but, overall, it's a fun game and a worthy entry into the series. The campaign was scaled back from its true potential and it shows! But it's still worth playing as well. This isn't a glowing recommendation, but don't let the haters scare you away either.

Deeply compelling resource/supply chain management game with a side of alien combat. One of the more addictive games I've played, especially as it can be fun to get things to a well-defended state and mostly just sit and let the factory run. The type of game where almost everything can be automated, even, to some degree, the automation itself (i.e. there's a blueprint system you can have construction robots build for you.) Extremely highly recommended.

A fun and engrossing hospital sim from some of the original folks who worked on Theme Hospital years ago. The game certainly does not feel perfect in some regards, but is addictive all the same. Numerous DLCs add different angles to the game -- some better than others. The result is an extremely wide diversity of different possible maps to master.

The career mode angle helps failed attempts feel less wasted. Earned Kudosh (to unlock new items) and research projects carry over from hospital to hospital, ensuring the more you play, the more options you have at your disposal. When you go on to can easily do things like upgrade machines or boost the effectiveness of rooms, more than just improvements in skill can push you over the line with your goals in later attempts.

Adorable and easy-to-learn medieval sim. Could clearly use a little more depth in future updates, but what is there is still a lot! I'm going to have to work a lot harder to unlock the rest of the tech tree. Does what it tries to do respectably well.

Extremely cute and engaging game that balances what's best about farming sims like Stardew Valley with Animal Crossing. Immediately hooked, can't wait to play way more.

This is one of the most charming takes on the roguelike genre I've seen, offering a unique spin on a typically only moderately fun game type: pachinko or Peggle. Balancing the almost arcade-esque gameplay with the different sorts of balls with fighting off RPG-style enemies gives an interesting mix of aesthetic and challenge. Many of the names in the game are incredibly witty to boot. Overall, very imaginative and fun.

Time Clickers is a unique take on the idle game genre that manages to hold my attention well. Like most idle games, you probably won't spend that much time truly playing it, but the dopamine rewards of checking in and buying some more upgrades is certainly nice.

Cuts off the top strip of the screen when playing on MacBooks with the "notch." Not sure if they'll fix that, as it's an older game. Still playable with this problem, though.

Fun, cute tower defense game. Has some interesting mechanics with the bombs & keys, and the ability to move around "towers" (cute girl fighters) offers some unique strategies.

A great idler game whose Runescape inspirations are extremely apparent, but it takes unique spins to keep even the seasoned Runecape veteran suprised.

A game clearly inspired by the second game that adds a modern spin on the series with gorgeous graphics and mostly recognizable gameplay, so it's easy to jump in.

The campaigns have gorgeous 4K videos of real scenes that are cool to watch.
