Fun, breezy roguelike with quick runs that are great for “gaming breaks.” The meta progression is a bit slow at first, but once you gain momentum the game’s intentionality opens up and you really get to play with the systems as intended.

I can’t help but feel it belongs on my phone (mobile port when?), but I’m happy to play it however I can get it.

Crow Country is a wonderful nod to early Resident Evil titles while still incorporating modern quality of life features. The controls feel good (except for shooting, which is a little clunky), the maps are big enough to feel like an actual place but small enough to make backtracking painless, and the quality of the puzzles is way above the indie horror game average. Also I love that they incorporated a ranking system with unlockable weapons and outfits.

I really enjoyed my time with Crow Country and I’m looking forward to the developer’s next project.

I've only played it for thirty minutes and in that time I've had to put it down and walk away twice. THE scariest game I've ever played. Well worth any horror fan's time and money.

Early Access Review
They took one of the most perfectly balanced games (Hades) and shaved off all of its minor issues and frustrations. Hades II has perfect pacing, even more satisfying balance, much improved grinding requirements, and a ton of variety. It’s not my favorite game, but it’s one of the few “perfect games” I’ve ever played. It’s damn flawless. And they’re still adding to it! Bravo, Supergiant.

A fantastic Metroidvania. Fun gameplay loop, unique enough combat verb set, and a refreshingly original punk wrapping on the audio and visuals. Must play for fans of the genre.

Such a perfectly, all-encompassing aesthetic. The visuals and music are incredible, and the choice of game type suits them both well.

Believe the hype! I expected fun throwback survival horror (which the game has) but was not expecting the puzzles to be as good as they are. Original, rewarding, and no repeats! This is an absolute gem.

Ridiculously addictive and fun. Very satisfying gameplay loop. Love the variety of weapons, especially with the DLC.

Charming but short. Pick it up on a sale. Also remapping buttons might be helpful to some.

Better than the already awesome original in every way. Improved graphics and animation, smoother game feel, more robust combat, increased run modifiers. Just wonderful. Cellar Door should write a book on how to make a sequel.
