With the vast selection of indie RPGs pouring into the market every month, it is easier than ever to give a pass to their majority. However, in spite of some balance issues and a few bugs, games like Catacombs: Demon War remind me that there is still passion and heart even in the zygote of our industry.

Pros
- Varied pattern of random and fixed encounters
- Highly-polished battle screen with good contrast and proper feedback
- Unique party system where full-party and solo playthroughs are both viable

Cons
- Game is playable but not sufficiently balanced
- Crashes experienced a few time

Neutral
- Loot is very, very random
- Quality of writing is at times excellent and at other times quite bad

I genuinely enjoyed my time with Catacombs: Demon War and would recommend it to anyone seeking a short, complete RPG experience with some cool hybrid systems.

Phenomenal management game.
