This game is soooo fun and the graphics are pretty charming. I just wish I wasn't such a hoarder and collect EVERYTHING. Can't wait for multiplayer / co-op.

Walking Simulator, with occasional combat and puzzles.

Mostly a walking simulator, with the occasional bout of combat, or puzzle solving. You follow a linear path, not much exploration really - except for finding the occasional rune totem or rock-face passage.

Story is interesting- though not as good as the first.

First game, IMHO, was far better. More engaging, better puzzles, more exploration, better levels, and the end boss fight was EPIIIIIIIIIIICCCCC!!!! The last "boss" in this one was underwhelming. The whole scene was anticlimatic.

Still, if you're a fan of the original Hellblade 1, you (probably) won't be disappointed in this one. There was ONE (time travel) scene that kind of blew me away when I figured it out (not gonna spoil it though).

It's like FROST PUNK, but without being tethered to a generator, and without the frozen wasteland (and extreme cold).

Normally, I'm not really into turn-based, hex-grid movement, combat games.... HOWEVER, I'll make an exception here.

I may be a bit biased, because I love all things Roman, but this game is just fun and hooked me right in! The story and the characters are intriguing, the world map and world building is interesting, has enough points of interest to explore to keep it interesting.

The combat (as far as hex-grid, turned based combat goes) isn't TOO bad. I can not stress enough to NOT UNDERESTIMATE the power of archers! Using your archers wisely, can often turn the tide of battle in your favor, despite enemy's numerical advantage.

The graphics are nice, and the sound and voice acting is decent. Overall, I don't regret buying this one... at all. Not one bit.

My only gripe is the zoom-level of the camera. I wish we could zoom out further and see more of the level... but I suppose it will have to do.

Great story game which manages to squeeze in all the lore cliches:

-After losing a child, father becomes a broken man, separates from wife to life a downtrodden life in the slums, and suffers psychotic breaks.

-An out of shape overweight (plus size) former cop, who is now a Private Eye, with health issues (asthma).

-A young urban professional white FBI guy with an addiction problem

-Big muscular black man, ex-con who hates cops, and has a few skeletons in his closet. (Not to mention he's got no issues killing cops)

-A goatteed gruff detective who isn't afraid to cross the line, and does NOT play by the rules, and doesn't care about the truth.

-A crazy old former doctor who lost his medical license but still likes to perform sick experiments

-Sleazy latino with a thick accent, who owns a night club

-Hot young journalist who isn't afraid to use her looks to her advantage, who has problems of her own

-Elderly mother in hospital suffering from alzheimers, can't remember she had two kids not just one.

The graphics in this game are pretty great. The music is emotionally engaging, and conveys a sense of urgency during the QTEs. The story is well written with the exception of a few plot holes.

Characters are all believable and endearing, albeit, cliche (as previously mentioned). Not too crazy about the convoluted controls (a game that was ported over from / or designed for consoles, doesn't have a great control scheme - what a surprise!), and I'm not a big fan of QTEs, but they weren't TOO horrible.

There were even a few scenes that almost made me tear up.

After a particularly brutal mission where both my captain and chief engineer died (and my chief medical officer almost died), I limped back to the nearest colony. I found a strange, mysterious, glowing crate on the floor. After forcing it open, I found a horn inside. Soon as I picked it up, an army of clowns came and surrounded me. Wide-eyed, and uncertain of my future, I raised the horn in the air and gave a nice "honk". The clowns all gave a quick laugh and smiled, nodding approvingly. The lead clown ruffled my hair, and then just as soon as they appeared, they all walked away and disappeared again.

10/10, would buy again!

The awful elevator music, the spelling mistakes and poor English translation, ruins the experience for me in an otherwise interesting concept. Your mileage may vary.

Great sound track!

Gorgeous explosions! Seriously, I've never seen explosions rendered more beautifully than this game. The debris generation is spot on, and awesome. Something about blowing up pirate ships to tiny little pieces is quite satisfying.

Lots of fun (but optional, not forced) mini games !

Graphics are pretty good.

Missions are your usual space sim bundle: protect a convoy, gather commodities, go here and kill this, investigate that, explore here, etc.

There are also "random" events and encounters in the form of "distress calls" which you may choose to intercept or ignore.

There is a basic (single) wingman system in place but nothing fancy. You can tell your buddy to either watch your back, break and attack, or attack your target, and form up. However, form up and watch my back are
pretty much the same, as well as break and attack (default setting) and attack my target. You can not, for example, tell your buddy to defend a target or escort a certain ship.
