I absolutely love Stalker and this is a modernized stalker game at its core. Its still stalker, old school where it matters to retain it DNA but modernized in areas where it matters to improve overall quality of life. If you also like stalker, you will most likely love this game. If you didn't like the original games or something about them at a conceptional level (gameplay, artstyle, mission design, or world building) then this game probably isn't going to change your mind. If you've never played stalker, let them patch the launch bugs then give it try. You will know within the first couple hours if stalker is for you or not.
