I usually wait til I finish games to review them, but this is an easy recommend. I feel like a lot of Minecraft like games tend to be like Minecraft for the sake of it. Not really having its own identity, or quite frankly, reason to play it over Minecraft, and it's nearly two decades of updates, wealth of mods. This game is kinda its own thing, which I like. I question if It'll get repetitive near the end, but honestly, even if it does. I'd say its worth a spin given its price.

I already fundamentally have distain for gacha games in general for a multitude of reasons. But after giving it a pretty strong shake, I just can't. Makes me just want to play one of the real games, not this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sludge. I can't fathom the idea of people who love this game, the gameplay is just P5 but dumbed down, grindier, less freedom for builds and you have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pay for everything. I really don't get people with like 200 hours in this ♥♥♥♥.

As a game, Yakuza 0 is one of the best in the series, with arguably the best story as well, and is probably the best place to start, at least its where I did. Just an overall great game in it's own right. I should also mention, don't be too deterred by the controversy around this version of the game if you're interested in getting into the series. This version is largely fine with mild improvements.

It's not without it's down sides and bad decisions, like making the game take more than double the space to add a dub, or more obviously, the game costing more, which is why SEGA released this in the first place. One of the biggest criticisms it has is the new cutscenes. Though frankly, I only think one of them is that bad. Beyond that, the biggest loss is certainly the breaking of some mods that worked on the legacy version of the game. That also sucks because SEGA removed said version. If you do care that much, I believe it is still on GoG.

Probably the best RE Engine game yet, this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. Especially the Leon segments, this is also probably one of the best looking games I have ever played, too. Leon has so many aiming animations, all of them look really good. I can also see it being super replayable.

Really fun and gives you a lot of freedom to experiment with demon builds and such. Definitely one of the most free turn based games I have played. Hope we get SMT4 on here eventually.

Kiwami 2 is a really fun game in it's own right, granted. I think you should also play the original at some point, as there is some stuff that is cut and this being one of the first of the Dragon Engine games, while the combat is fun it's arguably a downgrade from the original Yakuza 2.

One of my least favorite games in the series, but its still really fun. Keep in mind, they will probably delist this game as they did with Yakuza 3 Remastered if they make Kiwami 4. So get it while you can, in fact, you may want to buy the bundle sadly if you're interested in playing the whole series in order as that's the only way you can get it now unless you already have Y3.

Controversy aside, assuming this is your first time playing this series, especially as of now. It's good to keep in mind that if you can, play this before you play Kiwami 3 assuming you are playing these games in order. Since SEGA sucks, they delisted it unless you buy a bundle or something, meaning you may now have to jump through some hoops to do so. Which again. Very weird considering they are very different games.

The reason I say all this is because you not only miss a lot of iconic moments in this game that aren't in Yakuza Kiwami 3, they literally changed parts of the story so much that Yakuza 4 Remastered will not make sense assuming you are playing all of these games in order.

Pretty unimpressive overall, just kinda made wanna replay something better. The level design was sometimes weak, relying on gimmicks I don't really care about, the game also has an odd focus on multiplayer, the music was just okay. Practically nothing about this game really sticks out. I only recommend this game to freaks like me who want to play all of the games in this series more or less.

Wasn't sure if this game would click with me. In fact, I really dislike Warriors games. But I got into it in after couple hours or so. Wish we got more Atlus stuff like this. They did a good job at catching the feel of P5 while making it a hack and slash instead.
