Early Access Review
I absolutely have loved this game, and am very excited for all the upcoming content that's coming with the full release. I think I'm on a 21 day streak of playing this game everyday, alongside some of my friends.
The game plays as a side-scrolling beat-em-up with rogue elements. You'll fight enemies, collect and choose upgrades, and move to the next area, occasionally fighting a boss. A full gameplay loop takes around an hour, but you can quit a run in the middle and resume where you left off, if needed.
While I initially enjoyed collecting the persistent upgrades, I've stuck around after gathering all of them because of how fun it is to try out different weapon styles and come up with builds to make them shine. The game offers a training area where you can test weapons alongside any combination of items you've seen during gameplay. I've spent many hours there testing combinations to create great builds. The game offers 9 different weapons with different playstyles. Every weapon has inscriptions which amount to a specialization which can significantly alter how the weapon plays. For example, the Sword and Shield has an inscription that allows you to perform endless charge attacks through enemies, or another that grants the player an uppercut and ground slam combo. The point is, the game offers a deceptive amount of complexity from the amount of choices a player has, which lends to a ton of replayability.
The game plays great in single player or with friends, and I've done a lot of both. When playing with friends you can share items and currency, so it really pays to help each other fulfill your builds.
The game has a couple of minor issues, which I expect will easily get smoothed out by the time it is out of Early Access. For example, hosting a public lobby defaults to servers in China. You need to specifically set the servers to your region in multiplayer or you'll get some bad latency. A few tooltips on items/abilities have incorrect descriptions, etc., but nothing major.

In summary,
The game is an action roguelite with a fun and engaging core gameplay loop and enough subtle variation and complexity to stay fresh for a long time.

Early Access Review
Bought this game this morning and have been having an absolute blast!

Loving the gameplay. Just running around mining and shooting. Really enjoying the loop of picking up new abilities and unlocking new things.

It's a great value and lots of fun for the price.

I could see this game getting even better as it picks up features during it's early access. The big one would obviously be multiplayer.

I haven't played long-enough yet to know if it has TONS of content, but I've played the first of 3 worlds and so-far so-good.

Update:
It took me 65 hours to 100% all the achievements, unlocks, and Biome Goals. I had a great time; but you do end up repeating the same 3 Biomes for the whole game, so a bit repetitive. I had a handful of crashes as well. Very excited for more content, at which time I'll pick this game up again.

Update 2:
Just finished getting 100% Masteries done, which was added in the latest patch. This added a ton of extra playtime; as you can 'master' every weapon, class, and biome with special challenge runs to gain permanent stat increases with each.
They also added new 'anomaly' dives, which add additional mutator effects to each level, but that would add a ton more playtime to master them all.
The new content was great fun, but it is a bit too grindy to go for completing all of it at the highest difficulty.

Solasta is an excellent tactical RPG based on DnD 5e rules, developed by Tactical Adventures (TA).
The base game offers a strong story and well-executed turn-based combat with the "Crown of the Magister" campaign.
TA also continue to support the game with new classes, races, and campaigns released through a combination of free updates and DLC.

Solasta also features an excellent campaign maker (which is constantly seeing new upgrades and improvements), and a strong modding scene. With such an active community of content creators, it is possible to greatly expand on the content and play time of the base game. The steam workshop is full of excellent maps, and the Unfinished Business mod greatly expands upon the initial offerings of races, spells, feats, etc.
This customization supports a great range of preference among players, allowing selection of story-rich campaigns or your more combat-focused hack-and-slash experience.

The current multiplayer support is pretty good. I've had very infrequent de-syncs here and there, but a quick save and load from the host can re-sync a game if there is any issue. Multiplayer support was added after release and has been improved over time, which older reviews may not take into account.

In multiplayer, dialog initiated by any player will pull the whole party in. Every player character has dialog options they provide (based on their personality tags), and the players then vote for which option will be chosen. I really liked this system because it keeps the whole party engaged and informed, and really made the custom-made player characters feel like actual characters, distinct with their own personalities.

I've played through the official campaigns multiple times, as well as numerous fan-made maps and various amount of single and multiplayer and would strongly recommend this title to anyone who likes turn-based tactical role playing games.

The game suffers from crashes and performance issues (large moments where the game will momentarily freeze as it generates new monsters or loads an area).

Despite its shortcomings, this game has always been a fun multiplayer romp that my brothers and I have enjoyed numerous times.
If you enjoy developing a character build, hacking and slashing through dungeons in 3rd person, and the fun of exploring everything looking for the next loot upgrade with your friends, then you may just enjoy Dungeon Lords.
I played the other editions, and for the most part I feel this edition is the best one, as it has quite a bit of new features (and only a few new bugs). Steam multiplayer support was certainly very helpful.

This iteration of Magic improves in many ways but still leaves a bit to be desired.

Features:
2-Headed Giant (2vs2 game mode)
Full deckbuilding
100% Free Earnable content through gameplay
Improved UI
Fully Voiced Tutorial Divided into individual modules greatly helps learning the game for new players.
New Storytelling method has the player play through the stories of 5 planeswalkers
No more yearly iterations of the game (instead developers intend to add new cards as sets come out to this version).
Ranked 1vs1 Game Mode
256 Unique-playable cards at the time of release (counting lands)
*Rarity restrictions in place (1 mythic, 2 rare, 3 uncommon, 4 commons per deck)

Drawbacks:
**Coins capped at 400 gold per day (roughly 2 and 1/3 packs of cards)
Only 6 cards per pack opened
Cannot earn currency in 2HG or when playing against an invited opponent
Some bugs, disconnects, and instability
FFA mode removed (only has 2HG, Story, and 1vs1 modes)

*In the limited format of Magic Duels rarity restrictions are a positive as limiting Mythics and Rares allows for greater diversity among competitive decks (you wouldn't want *every* deck to be packed with the same 2 or 3 mythics every game, would you?). Also, a player will never receive more copies of a card then can be used in a single deck, so farming for the last couple of rares will be quick and painless.
**The daily coin cap doesn't apply to coins earned from story mode, quests, or tutorials.

The biggest drawback is that the rate of unlocking cards is a bit too slow (15G per win against the hardest AI results in 6 cards every 10 wins), a problem exasperated by the inability to earn daily currency from playing against friends. I assume this too-slow rate is intentional as to encourage micro-transactions.

Overall, still a positive experience and I will certainly keep playing. The game has a lot of potential if these cons are addressed and regular updates are provided.

I'll start by saying I'm a huge fan of the series. I own every HoMM and every expansion and DLC 1-7.

That being said, I do not recommend the HD version of the game. My wife bought 2 copies so we could play together. Without a LAN feature (which was removed for this version) we were forced to play using the steam online mode, and after disconnecting a few seconds ino the game several times, even after forwarding all relevant ports, we swapped back to the Heroes 3 Complete from gog.com ($10 and includes all the expansion with no DRM).

The HD graphics upgrades are nice, and are undeniably better then the original graphics, however, the new set of problems (crashes) and lack of several features present in the cheaper non-HD version do not allow me to give a pass for this game.

If Ubisoft releases the expansions in HD, or heck, even just fixes the disconnecting issues then I may be able to change my recommendation.

I do appreciate the effort to modernize such a great classic as Heroes of Might and Magic 3, it truly is a masterpiece of a game. Playing through the single player campaign in updated HD will surely be a treat when I get around to it, but don't expect the multiplayer feature to work well in this mode. At least not as of this writing. The hotseat feature still worked fine, however.
