A game about finding new ways to day and there are a lot!

I'm a big history nerd and this game is pure bliss, the attention to detail is astounding. The way the game forces you to think in a logical manner while balancing a classic rpg stats system is near perfect. Quests and dialogs aren't copy pasted, everything feels like a unique interaction in the context of where it is. It's like if Morrowind was handcrafted, you can enter every building, interact with all sorts of people, but the dialogs and quests aren't generated through a random quest generator, this level of immersion and detail rivals Baldurs Gate 3 and The Witcher 3. Having played the first game, this game improves nearly every single aspect while also expanding scale and depth. They nailed it. There are bugs but I've never experienced a crash, in the grand scheme of AAA titles, this game released in a solid state, I'm comfortable playing and exploring without thinking to myself "oh, I'll need to replay this when x,y,z is fixed."

It only took 4 years but they fixed voice comms so I'll leave a positive review now. The final iteration in the Red Orchestra series. Well refined compared to the predecessor. Great gun play, suppression system, and a damn good Vietnam game. Both sides have completely different squad and commander dynamics that play into the actual weapons and tactics used in Vietnam. Blue forces spawn on their squad leaders, can call in gunships, napalm, and artillery. Red forces spawn from tunnels built by squad leaders, can spawn the entire team at once on the commander, and call in artillery. This creates an interesting dynamic between the teams and is surprisingly well balanced, I've won campaigns on both sides many times.

There is a vast array of weapons that feel great to use and fit their roles well.

This game hates me. Jank as hell, but the game makes you actually think to solve problems.

Just accept that this is a 20 year old game on its like 3rd or 4th remaster.

Can't recommend for anyone near a casual gamer. The translations are incredibly off in English, its hard to interpret some of the tooltips as sometimes nouns are skipped so you don't know that one paragraph is for option #1 and the next is for option #2.

"The mode is more difficult" <-- Description for "Realistic" option, you have no idea what they're talking about because it shows the same tooltip for all options

^ Above is just made up example, but you'll encounter this pattern of articles/pronouns being used instead of nouns a lot and it can be confusing to understand what is actually being talked about.

Pretty good game, definitely indie. Kinda sucks that it's a naval game without naval combat, but overall it's pretty fun. It's not super deep, but they focused on the right parts.

2005's best shooter

This is it, it's the real Stronghold Definitive Edition. I played this a ton as a kid and they polished the hell out of it and left everything that makes the game great in place.

You could literally charge for things that the community is asking for.

Was enjoying myself up until the 4th or 5th level where I just fell off the map and couldn't do anything except start over from scratch :(
