My son (22) watches a lot of video game streamers on Twitch.tv. I personally don't find them entertaining but I can understand why some people do. Over the past month he's starting using terms like "pog", "jabaited", and "Kappa" which I guess are terms that are used on Twitch. I don't have an issue with my son using these terms but it's gotten to the point where every sentence is Twitchspeak.
We were having dinner and my daughter (age 12) was talking about how she got accepted for a summer program with the local animal shelter, and my son said "Pog you, easy clap". I told him that it was getting out of hand and that he would have to communicate normally to his parents and family. To that he said "Weird champ, feels weird man, normies omega LOL."
Until he learns to communicate like a normal human being I've blacklisted Twitch from the internet. He's hysterical now but I told him that I would unblock it if he stopped using twitchspeak, but he's refusing, so it's banned. AITA?

christ i tried to watch this spastic attempt his playthrough of this game it was truly spectacular. Speedrun steve over here is dropped into one of the most interesting game settings ever created, a floating city that epitomises this idea of american exceptionalism in the turn of the 20th century, ran by some mysterious dictator claiming to be a prophet of god.

why is the city there? how does it float? who is the dictator? what is your purpose there? who are you as the protagonist even? all questions that are answered as you progress through the game and look at clues given around the level design, voxophones littered around the map detailing individual stories of people that explain not only the world you are in but allude to this notion of multiple dimensions that is an underlying thread to this whole game and comes to fruition towards the end; and this thickskulled chodestroker is purely interested in finding gear to upgrade his character.

holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ eoin you braindead monkey. watching him blitz through these detailed levels like he had somewhere else to be, like he was playing some version of DOOM set in 1912. yeah i get it " L OMEGALUL RE" but if you're gonna play a game like bioshock infinite the whole purpose of the game is the lore and the story. it doesnt give you any information about the game because you have to find it out. talking over cutscenes, replying to everything someone says in the game with "shuut the ♥♥♥♥ up dood", dying a whole bunch because hipfire harold decided ADS doesnt exist in the game and that taking cover just doesnt matter and shouting "DUD WHAAT THE ♥♥♥♥?" everytime that happened
