The game itself is really fun. A roguelike with a ton of depth and interesting builds to put together.

Unfortunately it's severely held back by poor connection issues. Unlike many other games, if you get disconnected from a game, there's no way to get back in with your team. As a game that's built around playing with other people, it feels really frustrating to not be able to join in after random disconnects.

Gameplay loop is really fun, highly complex, and fair. Very good ramping difficulty that makes you learn patterns and offering a horizontal balancing for any loadout.

It's a little grind-y to get all the weapons/armors, but after you settle into a favorite loadout or two, you don't even really care anymore. There is a paid currency (Super Credits), but the game allows you to earn them without paying, and I've already unlocked 3 of 4 WarBonds without paying a single extra dollar.

First up: this is the least buggy Bethesda game at launch. Maybe ever. I've encountered maybe one or two bugs, nothing game breaking.

This game has so much potential, but its wasted behind the new game + based storyline. There's a LOT of systems, but only a few of them seem to matter in the end.

There are increased dialogue based solutions to questlines which is fun to actually get to do in game. Shooting feels better than Fallout 3 and 4, but leagues behind many shooters. Without a VATS or other system, it feels a bit hollow when the gameplay loop is not as tight as in prior series.

It's a fun game to play, but ultimately a pretty mid game in general. The story has some interesting choices, many of the faction choices aren't as nuanced as Bethesda seems to think they are. You don't feel like you're choosing between two greater evils, but simply evil light and evil chaotic. Not a really compelling choice.

Fidelity is amazing throughout. I like the character designs and voice acting. Some of the eyes are a little dead, but honestly it's better than Fallout 4.

This is a C grade of a game. A lot of potential, a lot of disappointments along the way.

all the good parts of fallout, more linear but in a way that still allows you to explore and do a bunch of sidequests all the time. really chill.

Buggy often, patience is needed at all times. Due to the recent anti-LGBTQIA+ responses from the devs/moderation team, i’d no longer recommend this game.
