Monster Hunting-game with nice story and some waifu .

Personally speaking, I love the story of GER more than the GE2RB, although there's some plot here and there that I find kinda forced, overall I still find my self loving it.

If you love the Monster Hunter-like game, you probably love this game too.
Though I suggest you play meele-only for the challenge. It's not because the range weapon is bad or weak, it's kinda the opposite. Once you play long enough you can unlock some bullet module and make custom bullet. And if you done it right, it will be too OP and maybe not enjoyable anymore. You can find the bullet recipe on the wikia or some other site.
But, once again I suggest you do this if you wanna progress the story faster or you find it too hard to handle.

My play record might not convincing enough, but I've play this game since the PSP version (GOD EATER BURST at the time). And I already owned the Vita version of both the GER and GE2RB (the japanese one).Non of that game clocked under 100 hours.

So, if you love JRPG-like-story with Monster Hunter-like gameplay than 90% chance you'll love this game.

Now my only hope the 3rd game will have a good story, unique mechanic and balancing over the OP bullet module.
Please excuse me for hoping that Bamco will fulfill my wish for hoping there will be sweet little villain character like Shio in the 3rd game.

i've played both the original and the definitive edition, and I can say I love this game.

It's Beautiful and challenging game. The game's not focusing in battling bosses to open another area, instead it use a puzzle-like system which is I personally like. If you not careful enough you'll die a LOT !
