An updated review for CS2:
- matchmaking is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
- you can never be quite sure whether the person on the other team is legit. VAC simply does not work and you can confidently say that at the moment there is no anti-cheat in this game
- random crashes happen daily
- mechanics are much worse compared to cs:go

Overall I don't recommend playing this BS unless valve fixes it.

This game used to be fun. I remember countless hours spent on maps like Road Kill or Kill Creek back in like 2009-2010. The game was fun and playable. A basic lvl 1 gun was enough to get a decent score. Sure, there were guns you could buy with real money that could give you a slight edge (like a double zoom scope in a sniper), skins that made your character's hitbox smaller and such, but you could still get away with map knowledge and some skill. I wish they added some "not paid gear allowed" servers for players to test their ability not their wallets.

A quick summary of what this game feels like to play right now:
You are thrown into a server full of buffed juggernauts jumping around with almost zero recoil, throwing grenades that insta-kill you from a range you would never expect them to have. If you somehow manage to leave the spawn unharmed to get a shot or two on one of those guys - they will heal themselves. You get a premium gun for free every now and then to give you a small chance of surviving the first 5 second of the round without rage-quitting.
