The Y2K aesthetic will come back in vogue eventually, but until some corporation figures out that translucent plastic is still cool we have CROSSNIQ+ to tide us over. CROSSNIQ+'s concept is brilliantly simple: line up tiles of the same color in a row and column to score. Where the game really stands out is how that concept is played with—from multiple crosses to a "chillout" mode that puts almost nothing between you and the game board. If you love puzzle games and/or early-2000s aesthetics then definitely pick this game up.

If you like skating, wallsliding, grinding, and tagging with style, this one's for you. The excellently funky and fresh soundtrack by Hideki Naganuma completes the experience nicely. Jet Set Radio is a hidden gem of turn-of-the-millennium SEGA titles, with one of the only downsides being that it's been neglected by its publishers for years now (and the fact that the game is locked at 30FPS, if that bothers you).

the infrequent and erratic update schedule coupled with sturgeon's law hitting hard recently kinda ruined the community, but it's still a rad game overall! you'd probably get a better experience on the official forums however.
