A great and fresh installment in the street fighter series with awful monetization.

Battlepasses don't belong in fighting games, especially fighting games that cost $80+.

The actual game is fun and fresh, good amount of content for casuals and newcomers to the series with world tour and enough depth and crisp gameplay for returning street fighter fans. I am only giving a negative review for scumbag battlepass systems in games where they serve no purpose. This is the start of what will be the most negative aspect to new AAA fighting games. It has already influenced tekken 8.

A great game marred by bad business practices, just like sf6 it has:

- poorly implemented battlepass (why should we pay for content like banners, costumes and artwork that were present in the previous installment for free)
- locking legacy characters almost day 1 behind paywalls
- doesn't address the rampant plugging problem

These clearly feel like publishing/financial moves not made by the dev team, they probably got the numbers on how much money sf6 was printing with their battle pass and forced it in tekken without any content to actually make it worth a purchase.
