I've played a ton of racers in my day. Motorstorm, Forza, Burnout, Art of Rally and of course Mario Kart, and I have to say the only racer I like more than this one is the Wangan ones at the arcade with the steering wheel and gear shifts.The controls are so intuitive and creative. Such a fresh and fun racing mechanic. Don't think, feel!

Bonus points for respecting the lore of the universe.

its a fun game however the game is poorly optimised, i have a rtx 4060ti and run medium settings and my fps is very inconsistent. i usually sit around 50-60fps, sometimes i go up to 70 or even 100 and somtimes i drop to 20 or 30. the friendly ai can be kinda dumb and also the game will bug out and stop responding to my mouse and keyboard (i only get this issue in this game not in others)

Combat is extremely boring and inconsistent. The wound mechanic is a good idea, but executed poorly. Staggering doesn't exist for most higher level enemies, so you get punished for damaging them at all. Atmosphere is monotonous and bland. No real drive to continue the game.

- good boss fights- good music- best use of time manipulation I've seen in a game- unfortunately doesn't make much use of the fact it's a metroidvania, it's almost frustratingly linear regarding what order you need to do things- absolute-worst fast travel point placements I've experienced, which is funny considering this team's next game straight-up lets you teleport to individual rooms on-demand (PLEASE add that mechanic to this I am on my HANDS and KNEES)

I honestly love this FPS—it’s one of the most addictive games I’ve played recently. It strikes a great balance by being challenging at times without resorting to a frustrating gameplay loop where the game feels unfair. All of the mechanics fit together perfectly, and this game makes you feel like an absolute badass.The only downside is that there isn’t much of a story to speak of, which might disappoint players looking for a narrative-driven experience. However, if you’re in it for the gameplay, this is a really good game that I’d highly recommend. It’s a fantastic FPS overall!
