Couldn't get in to it.

Gameplay is alot like 3 which is good, but what was really disappointing is the amount of content in this game behind the paywall. Signature weapons and gameplay should have been included for a game that charges $60. Instead there are only 8 missions with the extra two deceitfully only playable through co-op.

Do not like the direction Rebellion is going in at all.

Slick, satisfying gameplay with a great, atmospheric soundtrack. Hopoo Games is 2 for 2.

I kept expecting some clever twist or intriguing side story but neither happened and the script feels like it was written in an afternoon. At its current price, it is worth no where near $20 for about 3 hours of gameplay, most of which is just backtracking and looking at your map.

It's essentially cube runner with some powerups, more extravagent levels, and a less catchy soundtrack.

Your choices have little to no effect.
The game mechanics are repetitive and boring.
The story is lackluster.

I tried hard to like this game and expected at least a decent time out of it considering its overwhelmingly positive reviews but I never got anything out of it. 95% of your decisions just make people passive aggresive towards you and the remaining 5% of big choices you make have no nuance and end up happening two scenes later anyway.

Waste of time and money.

I bought Risk of Rain along with about 15 other games last winter sale. Big games, small games, all sorts and Risk of Rain was the one that stuck. It only took about 10 minutes to know I was going to say yes to the replay.

Risk of Rain is the sort of game that anyone can get into casually or hardcore. It's the perfect balance of simplicity and strategy. Huge replayability and if you have friends Co-op is fun too I hear.

Buy this game, you won't regret it.
