Absolutely fantastic. Good rhythm ... little bit of explore/dialogue/oddities ... a lotta bit of Robocopping up the baddies. Combat feels great, music is great, environments look great, real Robo voice, other voice actors do a good job (not all fantastic, but most very good), interesting abilities, interesting/funky gun upgrade system, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU TOTALLY FEEL LIKE ROBOCOP!

I gotta watch all the movies again. Thanks so much devs, you really rocked it!

One of my favorite games of all time, and I keep coming back to it!
Voted as my nominee for Labor of Love 2025, they just kept making it better and better!

I've been having an absolute blast in this game so far.

Strife and War feel very different in combat (twin stick shoot /w melee backup vs. melee hack n slash powerhouse). I hate being stuck with the same class in most ARPGs for the entire game, so this is always very welcome when I see it!

In addition to wild combat they luckily added plenty more variety to mix things up, true to Darksiders fashion. There's platforming, horse riding, puzzles, fun (and silly) dialogue, secrets, the works!

Not only that, but it has local splitscreen co-op (and online too) and had a great time being able to play with co-op partner right beside (the puzzles in coop require cooperation often).

Of course it's not perfect, and I've run into the occasional funky platforming bit or oddly formulated puzzle solution, but nothing too egregious. They made sure to fix the common annoyances I run into with other games, which I greatly appreciate. Just to give some examples of the types of things I mean that other games mess up constantly ... you can save anytime you want, when you get stuck somewhere it detects it and auto respawns you nearby with no penalty, it has solid graphics options ... just all those little things that actually matter, they absolutely nailed with polish on core functions.

Especially because I know this was not done with a massive budget, seeing the incredible variety they baked into this game is extremely impressive and I would buy a sequel like Darksiders Genesis in a heartbeat! I know there are some games that are similar, but this one really nailed a unique flavor to it. Fantastic job to the developers and a very well earned place among the other (I've played them all) Darksiders games!

This is a very solid, cute, smooth puzzle platformer. The controls are solid, graphics clear and nice, progression of puzzle elements, pretty much everything. Not the longest game ever, but I often prefer short and sweet games before they wear out their welcome. I never felt that a puzzle was unfair, which is a huge plus. Sometimes puzzle games (not this one luckily) will implement some odd mechanic where I will look up the solution and think, "How the heck could I have assumed that would work?" This game has an excellent amount of polish and it really shows.

On a side note, I have been watching this developer's Game Maker's Toolkit videos for 10 years (and with my kids much of the time when appropriate), so it was a nice bow on top of it to play this game with them. I would have bought the game day 1 just to support him of course, but I can very confidently say that this is a very solid game. Very well polished (love those cute little nuts and bolts that get kicked around), and everything I would come to expect from a talented individual who is holding themselves to the standards they have seen from many years of analyzing other excellent developers work.

He has joined those developers now as one of them, nicely done all around and many kudos!

I've been playing this series since the beginning. Every new one is a day 1 buy from me without question. Playing it with the family and having an absolutely (sometimes joyously chaotic) blast! Thanks so much Frozenbyte!!!

Absolutely amazing game series, and been playing it since the time around when my first kiddo was born.
Now we're all playing OMD 3 together and it seems to be better in every way then the ones that came before it.
Keep rocking it Robot Entertainment, you are doing amazing work!

Haven't played a game quite like this before!
You move floating islands and strategically place, use, and sometimes discard them.
It's like a mix of age of empires, dungeons 3, civilization, and a few others.
It's real time strategy with pause (with a base-building focus) which is great so you can take your time, think/read about items and proceed when you like.
Very competently made as well, UI scaling, solid graphics, easy to follow, competent story for flavor, etc.
Sometimes games just have a lot of little "ick" items I notice, but this really didn't have much of that, which is refreshing and impressive (especially from a non-AAA dev team).

A rock solid, very competent boomer shooter.
Felt just like quake/doom/serious sam with it's own little twists!
Definitely a love letter to that style of shooter.
Immediately saw they have another funky shooter in the works as stuck it on my list!

Early Access Review
It's like old school doom/quake with juuuuust the right amount of modern touches.
Of all the games I got on the Humble Boomer Bundle that I've been playing, this one was the one I stuck with the longest, and actually played all the levels! There were some nit picky things in the design here and there (don't like the two modes for pistols and shotgun, save system gets annoying, to name a couple), but for an indie game, verrry solid and fun! Especially for it being Early Access.
I wish they had a developer Steam site so I could follow them, because whatever they make would assuredly be just as fun.

This game was surprisingly fun!
I didn't really like the gameplay of FTL, but this game found the right balance for me.
Rushing around and sometimes stealthing gives the game an interesting cadence.
The art direction, sound, dialogue, and background silly story were great too!
I can't wait to see what they make next, hopefully a sequel someday.
