honestly pretty solid casual friendslop game to hang out on VC with some buddies with. Extremely friendly and approachable to non-traditional gamers as well. My wife who's new to games in general has been able to get it to run on her Steam Deck after downloading a community-sourced mapping and some minor fussing.

Game is completely free with only a single $5 mtx that unlocks all cosmetics + some ways to chill in your virtual space together? Low-key brilliant business model for this kind of low-poly/low-tech game.

Please add Mac support so my study buddies can play with me too :)

Leaving a positive review because I believe this game deserves a chance. The 3v3 setup, while still maintaining a 6v6 feel, and most importantly for me, not being a hero shooter, is a phenomenal concept. The perfect accuracy and the tools the game provide to keep players informed (like the ability to see teammate sightlines via a laser by default) are a huge boon for players like me. Even without having many friends interested in trying the game, I can still have a good time without needing to be a sweatlord about it, which is great since I have limited free time for gaming.

Cash shop prices are definitely not very good but I do think the backlash is a slight overreaction. Good on the devs for already slashing prices 20-25%, and hopefully pricing and deals continue to trend towards a more tolerable happy medium for all parties involved.

Hoping this game draws a sustainable, long-term playerbase with enough skill variance to keep both the sweats and the casuals happy. A 3-stack is not hard to build and I haven't played a competitive game that feels this fun but is still accessible to a casual, time-starved audience (inclusive of myself) probably since Rainbow Six: Siege.

Solid start so far. VR support needs a bit of work, and performance needs a bit of work, but it mostly seems like stuff that could very easily be patchable relatively quickly and the devs have made the right overtures thus far on working on them.

Despite the negativity, this has to be one of the smoothest game launches I've seen in a long time, especially given that there was no beta, closed or open. Absolutely worth giving Motive a chance with your $40, all told.

Still the best with regards to physics and moddability, and phenomenal in VR. Wish it was still actively supported by the devs tho :(

10/10 would drop all of my syringes, grenades, and weapons on the floor when trying to reload in the middle of a firefight again
