Psychonauts is my favorite platformer of all time, 3d or 2d. Its the kind of platformer you can tell was developed by adventure game people. And that combination hit a sweet spot.

The art, voices, pacing, variety, humor and mental health subtext is all pretty amazing as well. Definitely a classic.
