Currently unable to launch with a amd GPU

Quick n' fun game, I usually don't play survival horror games but I for sure enjoyed it. I really like the environment and the world building that the logs give you. Works great on Linux.

I liked the different areas and their unique challenges. For example in the the room where you meet your first monster and get to learn how how the light and the monster works together, I didn't realize that the monster was almost blind until it used the "scan" ability. It took some time but after some trial and error i got the hang of it until... I opened the next door which in return let another monster into the room. It wasn't really obvious for me in the beginning at least that the monsters would search for you even though you haven't touched the light, till I saw 3 of the monsters walking in a straight line, they scattered and somehow surrounded me. The key-card located in the gym tricked me, I thought that if I was a bit sneaky I would've been able to grab the card from the small room where the door opens, that ended up with me dying. I later figured out that it would only work if I came from the server room and grabbed the EMP, I for some reason didn't realize that I could've used the EMP on the lamp to pick up the key-card and get out of there. I instead backtracked and a while later I realized that I was supposed to use the EMP and grab the card. I kind of did the same mistake with the IR spotlights in the server room, I didn't use the thermal goggles because I thought it was a key-card at first. I was being chased so I didn't really focus on the pop-up text, and then I walked into one of the IR spotlights when I was right next to a monster. I struggled quite a bit with the moths located next to the cryo-pod area and in the cryo-pod area, they caught me by surprise with how persistent they were even if I was in the shadows. I died when I tried to walk into the shadow of the ceiling fan. I think I glanced over where the escape pod area were located but I took a guess and headed straight to the engineering room, luckily it was the room next to the engineering room. in short the game was challenging but fun, I'm impressed with how fast the game was created

Very short review:

The story is very good, the characters are well written. There are also collectibles that you can read or listen to, they add quite a bit to the lore. The environment is well made, there are lots of beautiful places scattered around the world, there's also somewhat of an environmental storytelling. The different machine designs are pretty uniqe and well thought out. The sound design is nice and I love the music. One thing I found quite annoying was that I ran out of inventory space pretty often which in return made me remove/salvage some items that I would've rather kept. I also didn't really know what was important to keep at times.

If you like Terraria then this is a must have, It's even better than normal Terraria (In my opinion). There's mods for QoL and then there's mods that are complete overhauls. One of the best gaming experiences I've had, I haven't encounterd any bugs, there shouldn't be any as long as the mods are compatible. 12/10 One of the best games to play with friends.

I tried BF2042 for the first time last year when the beta was out. I played a couple of matches but I wasn't happy about the gameplay and performance, the maps felt empty and the gunplay felt weird and there were a lot of bugs. I thought that it was probably gonna get fixed later so I bought it now on the autumn sale and I expected them to have fixed most of the "clunkiness" of the gameplay. To be fair I didn't encounter any bugs and the performance was decent, it was atleast much better than the beta but it could've been better considered that I have a decent pc so I can't imagine how it performs on lower end pcs. The game still feels unfinished, it doesn't even feel like what a AAA game should feel like in a beta, it feels like an alfa version of the game which made me disapointed, because I've heard many talking about that they've fixed a lot of things and made the experience more enjoyable but I don't really agree, the only difference I've noticed is the performance uplift and far less bugs. The game still lacks a lot in many areas, there aren't that many weapons and the maps are a bit lackluster, the vehicles doesn't feel as responsive if you compare them to BF1 and BF4. One of the top 3 things that dissapointed me the most probably was that there was no campaign. Overall I'm just sad because of the fact that this game is probably never gonna be the thing that most of the community expected, I'd rate the game 4/10 maybe 4.5/10.




TL;DR
The game feels unfinished and lackluster, there are a lot of things that shouldn't be in a AAA game that has been out for 1 year. Just go play another Battlefield.

It's a very good game, easy to learn, hard to master, no glitches so far.
Extremely fun to play with friends.
The graphics are very good, I like the style of it.
I would really recommend trying it.
Note: Can be very demanding for the system later in the game.
