So I played this game when it first released. Put will over 200 hours back them. Took a long break. Decided to come back recently and see whats all new and different.
Honestly
Im so lost now, the quick quests to get your caught back up is just a text dump that ends in a basic"Just go do it"
So no, I dont feel like watching videos on how to use the new systems, the game should be able to teach me them.
There needs to be a proper onboard/reboarding system.

Buy it.
If you are scrolling down to the reviews to see if you should or not. Buy it.
The visuals are astounding. Each area being different, but never overstaying its time. Instead it leaves you wanting more.
The soundtrack is praised so highly for a reason. When there is some event going on, the music is always on point to enforce the emotion going on.
The story is one of those that leaves you sad its over. Not because it was bad, because the experience is over. You want to see more, you want it to keep going. Some points of it might be "bad" at times, but it makes up for it. If you just finished Act 1 and saw "that" cutscene, keep going. Even if its hard, continue on.
The gameplay, while it may have some flaws, it can be learned and dealt with. Its probably the only real complaint I have overall. Sometime enemies can be hard to learn, sometimes the timing just feels way to off compared to what is being shown. Playing on harder difficulties will also makes the timing window even more strict. So keep that in mind.
Overall. This has easily taken a spot in the top 5 games I have ever played.

Waiting Gate 3.
For how good this game is, for amazing the story is, for how interesting the characters are, for how long each section of the game is and how it grips you to your screen.
For all of that, you sit back and wait to actually play the game every combat situation. If you wanted to watch tv series or movie on the side while in combat, its amazing for that.
But really though, combat takes so long not because of any of your actions, its waiting for the other NPCs to take action. I spend so much of my time just thinking to myself "Is it my turn yet? No?" Then I go back to watching something on the other screen. By the time you get into the city of Baldur Gate every combat is taking way to long.
Im writing this out as I wait for my turn because im just waiting for the other 5 NPC to take their turn.

I actually really liked this game. It was fun. Nice story. First time Ive ever played a Monster Hunter game. However.
What I dont like, crashing and frame drops. Going through the entire story, aka Low Rank. Never had an issue with crashing. Maybe some frame drops, maybe some NPC popping in when talking to someone else. Minor issues I can look past. Now Im at the point where if I want to play the game, I have to restart the game after every boss because it will crash, and I will lose all progress.
I want to play more, I was having fun. But having to go to desktop every 10-15 minutes so the game doesnt break. Thats not fun. Hopefully a future update will fix it.
Edit: Just use mods to fix the game. Sad you have too for a $70 game.
Edit, March 12 2025. Can confirm. Game still just crashes on most recent patch. Really frustrating to be in the middle of a fight then be back on your desktop.

I loved the game but the whole world is very small. By your second playthrough, you have seen all there is to see. The cutscenes are oddly low quality and they stutter constantly. Had to use Borderless Gaming to get the game to correctly behaving for a 3440*1440 screen. Its a great game but the small issues you find over and over again start to add up and drags down the amazing experience this game has to offer.
