I don't know if non-consensual PvP is new to the update, but I just lost all progress on the recent expedition. Another player came to the plot-freighter, killed me twice from their ship which meant the first gravesite seems to be lost. Since that had my inventory, I'm pretty sure I'd have to restart the expedition completely.

The one thing I won't accept with games is having them waste hours of effort with this kind of ♥♥♥♥, so I'm probably permanently done with NMS

Sometimes the linear nature of the controls can be a bit frustrating, but overall gives all the goodness of the classic Diablo feel with really cool mechanics.
