Never played a Monster Hunter game before in my life but this game is absolutely amazing and extremely addictive. The combat is fun and satisfying and the game has a serious plot but is quirky and very enjoyable. The game has had some network issues recently but it hasn't affected me too much at all. I can still join others online and request others to my game successfully. Only the occassional error for me. But I hear it's an issue with steam and they are on the way with fixes so that's goo news. Otherwise, amazing gameplay, epic large scale battles, fun as hell to play with others, and makes you feel like a badass! Even with the small network issues, I can still recommend this game.

I'm not one to care too much about a PC port as others so yes there are also PC port issues, but they don't bother me so I can't take those into consideration. The game is fun and it has me hooked and that's all I ask for. Plus you have a walking cat as a companion (called a Palico) and a canteen of cat chefs that cook for you in an amazing cutscene. It's the little things in the game you have to love.

Came back after leaving mid-2016 and this game has made a HUGE turnaround. Definitely worth coming back to. So much has been added to the game and many of the major problems the game had are gone or minimalized. Player count is looking a bit low so any new players are extremely welcome. All in all a very good game and the developers seem to be listening to the community and improving.

As of 4/16/17, the game needs some serious optimization. I barely get 50-60 fps on all low except textures ultra which is ridiculous. And the framerate isn't even constant. This is all after editing the .ini files too, before it was seriously 30 fps or less. The gameplay is fun, but not when you get shot, lose 15 FPS and die instantly in the next few frames. So for now, I have requested a refund and I may purchase later when the performance is better.

Edit: As of 4/20/17, the newest update has improved the performance quite well. At first I didn't think so, but after removing my modifications to the .ini files and launch settings, the performance went up. It can still get down to 35 fps SOMETIMES in the plane and warm-up area, but during the match, I usually have 60 FPS now. In more dense towns maybe to 50 FPS but it's not unplayable, I just feel it's more stable rather than an increase in FPS. They have also added a new weapon and clothing you can find which is nice. I have re-purchased the game and I have more faith now in the devs, on top of them being Blue Hole studios, the makers of one of my favorite MMO's, TERA. I have switched from not recommended to RECOMMENDED for sure. The gameplay is intense and adrenaline filled and you feel a huge reward just killing 1 person each time and I can't wait to see where this game goes.

This is what a game should be.

Arguably one of the worst game releases of all time, but the most recent updates have added a rather large amount of content (including semi-online features like making your base and placed messages able to be found by other players). So as long as they keep moving in this direction, I'm glad to have spent the money for the game. As a little side note, I pre-ordered the game so I've had it since launch.

As for my thoughts on the game, don't go into this game expecting Skyrim in space. To me, it's more of an artistic game to play, for the experience. So the main objective is just to explore, make sure to take it slow and enjoy what's around you in your journery.

Never really been in to any sports game but this certainly changed that. Be aware, if you strive to get all medals gold like me, you'll probably be spending 2 hours or more on 1 race... not like that happened to me or anything....

Anyway, good game, fun to meet random people through the seemless multiplayer. Easily traverse through the huge, open landscape with practially zero load times. And the game definitely looks gorgeous, feel free to browse my screenshots of this game if you think otherwise. The snow physics and tesselation are particularly well done and adds a whole layer of immersion in my opinion. Can't wait for the new content through the season pass!

I saw the name and I bought it, didn't read the description, no pictures, just the name. True story and first game to ever make me do that 10/10 forever

Bought this game a few days ago and have alrerady played almost 30 hours of it! I haven't had this much fun in an online zombie shooter in a long time. Call Of Duty zombies can suck Killing Floor's ♥♥♥♥! 1 word, GORE! It's not a scary game whatsoever, it's more of a "Die you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!" game. Overall, its worth whatever price it is! Also, get the DLC's, you can be the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Chickenator if you want!
