This is a really cute game with some great ideas but 3 big issues stop it from being much fun right now:

1. Serious game/run-breaking bugs, at least half the runs I did had them so if you're playing co-op or on Steam Deck (and likely other modes and platforms too) stay clear for now.
2. Mechanical weirdness that can invalidate a run. For example sometimes when you have a relevant item you are prompted to give it, sometimes you have to guess and sometimes your window to give it (like with the town crier) is one choice, after which your effort for the run might have been wasted.

BUT neither of these things would be such a big deal if not for

3. You cannot save mid run. Auto or manual. If a bug stops you finishing a turn then thats it, run over. If you click through dialogue too quickly you might be spending 30-40 minutes to get back to that point, and there's a LOT of repeating dialogue and events and no way to skip, so inevitably you rush. Not having a way to retain progress feels like a huge oversight.

TLDR; Maybe in the future, but right now I can't recommend the game on playability alone, even if you're the perfect fit for it. Wait for the bugs to be addressed at a minimum.

I've played a lot of Social Deception/Deduction games and I would definitely consider this one of the better ones. I've hit top ranks in ToS before burning out on it so I think I'm a decent judge with this stuff. If you're familiar with Town of Salem, The Ship, Unfortunate Spacemen, Among Us etc. then you already know what you're getting. What Untrusted brings to the table is probably the sleekest and easiest to use UI, an interesting concept, and a decent set of roles, and of course it's free.

If you enjoy this sort of game then give Untrusted a try, It'll take you a couple games to get the hang of it like anything else in the genre, but it pays off.

I don't usually write reviews but this game absolutely captured me. It's really not very often I just play a game start to finish as soon as I find the time but I played this in like 2 days no issue. If you're looking for a charming set of characters (which expands as you play, my favourite turned up just a chapter before the end), some really solid parodying of D&D or just interesting tactical combat, Wintermoor has it all.

Visual Novel is definitely a great descriptor, you do spend most of your time chatting with people and doing mini fetch quest style things for them (although some story elements like creating the campaigns you play through are particularly interesting) but it does such a good job of making everyone feel real. If you are in it for the tactical gameplay explicitly there's plenty of challenge in the achievement hunting as well.

Definitely worth playing, short but very sweet.

I had a fantastic time in the games I played, the community is lovely and the game is very well designed, but I played maybe 3 games total due to how few and far between lobbies were, at some points in the day I couldn't find a single lobby, in any region, I often waited either on the menu or in a lobby for longer than I actually played the game. This isn't a problem if you're happy to wait, or if you have friends to play it with, or if you fancy joining a discord that operates around the game, but if you're just interested in the idea and are buying it for yourself to play with strangers, maybe give this one a skip until the player base improves.

Amazing game, best Moba around at the moment, does free to play very well and the gameplay doesn't suffer for not spending. Worth a play if you got the time.
