The game itself is pretty good, but I've been having crashing issues. Not constant, but enough to take me out of it. It's crashed 7 or 8 times, especially when I climb ladders for some reason. I thought it was mods at first, but I did a clean reinstall and it still happened a couple times, so for that reason I don't recommend it.

A SQEX game getting updates that not only fix things but add meaningful improvements?? Unheard of. Who really made this game?

I’ve played since Day One, and it’s not perfect by any means. But it’s still my favorite gacha because you can actually relax while playing most of the content in it, the style of the combat is unmatched imo, and the goofy mix of comic book and anime aesthetic is perfect to me.

My only complaints are that they’ve gone too far on the gooner side. When it came out, it was normal levels of goon for a gacha, but some of the new characters… Velina is a good example. Seed is another. I want more designs like Miyabi and Grace.

Aside from that, it being a gacha is an inherent complaint, but it’s so forgiving that it’s not actually a huge deal. Everyone I know has been able to get every character they want, as long as they played and did the events, no swiping necessary. Even if you don’t get the characters you want, because they don’t make most of the content soul crushingly difficult if you don’t have the new characters like other gachas, you can still clear endgame if you’re good enough.

Really fun demo, actually. Movement feels great, combat feels pretty good if a little loose. I wish there was custom controls for controller, since I'm used to stuff like Wuwa where dodge is R1, and I'd also like DLSS just for some even smoother gameplay, even though it's already really good.

I honestly didn't think my perfect game could ever exist. It has everything I love and have wanted in games. Huge open world, satisfying combat, customization with the barber and dying outfits, trade routes, fun exploration tools, huge amount of moves and variety, it's just perfect for me.

That said, it might not be perfect for you. The story isn't anything that's gonna change your life, and there are some weird graphics issues, life if you don't use Path Tracing some lighting looks incredibly bad, the boiling is really bad, stuff like that. But the devs have been so active I have faith that they'll fix it, and the game is so much fun that while I'd be sad if they didn't fix it, this game would still be worth a buy imo.

If you're a fan of RE2/7 and RE4R, you'll love this game. The timing and sounds are so perfect for the scares, the action is so action movie-esque, the story is pretty good (it's very RE if you know what I mean)

Overall it's a ton of fun, and I enjoyed almost every second of it... except *that* part (iykyk). Slow, boring, really bad for replays, but it's not a game breaker. I just wish we could skip it in replays XD

Been playing it after the performance update, and it feels really good to me now. There's still room for improvement for sure, but I can actually play and enjoy the game now.

Honestly I was torn between recommend and not recommend, but I still think the game can pull itself up. I sunk around 300 hours in before it came to Steam, and I really enjoyed probably ~250 of those hours. But now I just... don't know what to do in it, really. I log in for my secret letters, I do the tower until I get the letters for the new characters, then I just don't have anything to do.

I *could* farm maxed out gold wedges for every character, but... why bother? None of the content is anywhere close to needing those. I *could* farm all the pokemon, but a good shiny boxie is all you ever need. I could farm the introns for all the characters I don't play, but I don't play them so it feels wasted.

All in all, I enjoy the gameplay loop, and I enjoyed a huge chunk of my time playing the game, so I recommend it. For free you can get at least a hundred or so hours of fun, probably more. But I just need a reason to farm more- other than being able to post a pic of it online to show off.
