I enjoyed playing this game, and that’s all that matters. It hits the perfect spot for me in terms of length. it’s not dragged out, and it still delivers a fully fleshed-out story.

This is the game that started it all for the genre - what more can be said?

I really, really wanted to like this game. The story is good, but the controls feel straight out of the PS1 era - it’s infuriating. Sometimes it takes up to 20 seconds just to pick up ammo because you have to be in the exact position and at the exact angle. It doesn’t make any sense. Combat is almost non-existent. The story is pretty much the only thing keeping this game together.

First of all visual style is stunning, VA and sound design in this game is superb

I can see how game loop might be not for everyone, but it's not dragged out unless you want to, which is cool.

Gustave voice was so familiar and soothing, i knew i heard it before, turned out it's Daredevil himself - Charlie Cox - that's just cherry on top, good job Sandafall!

This game is special for me, however i'm not sure how well it holds up to modern gaming standards, still a good game though

It looks good, the combat system is okay, but gets boring pretty quickly. The main complaint is that the game is so dragged out compared to the original. Some chapters can be fully skipped without detracting anything from the story.

For me, this is the best entry in the FF series. I'm glad I'm able to replay it on the go with Steam Deck and improved textures from the Moguri mod. So many memories!
