This game took a good story and idea and just smashed it to pieces. The repetition at the end is so bad that it turns a game that I loved at first into a game I hated by the end. It gets so painfully stupid that I dont even want to finish.

Gotta be honest, I knew going into this that it was predatory with the dlc and game pass and still I heard it was good so I wanted to give it a shot but the graphics and animations suck, the gameplay doesnt feel great, create a player is whack (Couldnt choose my name or voice. Im just archetype which is dumb af). I went into this wanting to like it but I think this is trash and they need to stop pumping these games out yearly. Bunch of bugs in 1 hour of play.

This is one of the worst games that Ive ever played. Its a shameless cash grab. The only reason that the online portion exists is to extort the players into paying money for items and stats. And if youre dropping significant money on this game for Virtual Currency, anything more than a total of $20 for the lifespan of the game, youre an idiot. This game should be about actually playing in the NBA not some stupid online 2v2, 3v3 trash. Those are cool features but you go into My Career and the only way to get cap breakers and such is to do this PVP nonsense that I have 0 interest in. And again, its solely a cash grab. They want you online with friends and doing these park games to get you to pay real money for stuff.

Next, the game play is horrible. Its a freaking NBA game, I dont care to be competitive. Its just a fun game I play on rookie. BUT the second I say ok I want cap breakers and to do a little more, its an annoying nightmare.

1. You steal more by walking into players rather than trying to actually steal. Makes no sense.
2. Nobody can catch.
3. Animations for stealing and blocking are wildly exaggerated and slow.
4. Every single time I do a Street Kings game I cant skip this stupid time wasting intro like wtf, who cares?
5. Defense is virtually non existent for a user, Im sure some people with no lives are good at it but overall, its ridiculous trying to play defense. Everything is a foul or the opposing player just walks right through or around you or teleports and the ball is constantly thrown through you and again, if youre saying why not just steal it when its thrown through you like that, its because the timing is some how never right and then the player does this weird 10 second animation of trying to steal and the opponent catches it and scores instantly. Defense is awful in this game.
6. Shooting is no better half the time. In Street Kings if its not a perfect shot, its a miss. And god forbid someone gets anywhere near you. Meanwhile Im playing ai that are double covered doing crazy spin move fadeaways no problem like give me a break.

Im trying really hard to like the game but I think it sucks. I cant get passed the first freaking mission. First off, I clicked to chop all the wood in the area and I figured Id just set the priority so they only gathered resources when other stuff wasnt available to do. Nope. No matter what I did, they chopped wood and gathered resources. Restart. 3/4 pilots get injured in one mission and then 6 of my 10 staff get injured while randomly doing chores and immediately Im hit by an attack BUT 3 pilots are down so I can only get 1 up and then 2 people are killed and my barracks is tore up so the people who are injured arent healing and Im not getting anything done. Tired of this game already. F***ing retarded. Keep running out of tarp while building 2 freaking buildings. Gotta get it imported. Dumb af. Game just glitched and wouldnt start.

Update: Its just not worth it. Crashing when it saves, crashing when it loads, I have 5 planes and an aa on defense in the first map and still, my stuff gets hit hard and Ive gotta rebuild everything. No thanks. The frequency in which Im attacked is ridiculous. The injury rate is ridiculous. Cant get food or seeds for some reason. Always running out of water.

10 hours in and no gun. Dumb af. Good game ruined by artificial difficulty. Makes no sense that I havent found a single gun in 10 hours.

Games irritating and the constant "You must dip dive and dodge" is pretentious, Im sorry but the need to be perfect because youre 1 miss away from getting blown up is ridiculous. You were ALMOST perfect that fight, dead. Didnt parry 1 ability. Or the 4 different ways to dodge now. Jump, gradient parry, parry, dodge. Who developed this game? Patches O'Houlihan? It gets tiring being in a constant state of parry or die.

Im giving this game a thumbs up because I love it but the fact is that they desperately want you to go online with this game and play with others. I HAVE NO INTEREST in that. So Im dealing with BS boss battles where you cant dodge or block everything adequately and every time you take a hit its at least 33% of your health bar. heres the real kicker, Im level 52 and in a level 37 dungeon. This should be easy af not some complicated "I cant get hit" bs where every shot does massive damage. But again, they want you online with other people so they amped up the difficulty on a lot of fights. Its nonsense. Theres challenging and theres fn stupid and this game flirts with fn stupid far too often.

One of the worst offenders is The High Orc Spellmaster. Dumbest fight Ive ever been in. Dude is incredibly easy but keeps summoning a shield at the end of the fight and by the time I break it, he summons another one. Makes no sense.

I just cant take the frequency of skull rolls. Im getting them about 30% of the time and its stupid. The whole dice rolling everywhere thing might be impacting it and again, its ridiculous. Also, it feels like they really want you to play online with people. I cant see this being enjoyable with randoms but I could enjoy it more offline if theyd let me level the 3 extra characters that I adventure with. It doesnt even make sense, great, I made a generic main character but I use all 4 characters equally and 3 of them dont grow or develop in any way on the adventure. Also, why is the character creation so bland? Why let me create a character at all if its just going to be almost exactly like the stock character? Theres a lot of potential here but its slow paced, aggravating with the skull rolls and then the lack of development for your entire party kills it for me.

Love the game but theres too many arbitrary rules that make it feel tedious. To grow the dragon egg I have to have 2 apprentices that have 2 in grass, etc. Why do apprentices make good dragon eggs? When they evolve into staff, are they no longer good at it? Just arbitrary nonsense at that point. Love the game, put a ton of time into it but its so tedious with so many rules that your first play through feels like a practice run.

Great game but I hate fighting games in general. When more than half of my time is spent running and dodging then whats the point of playing? And 70% of the moves they do are invulnerable, cant interrupt or stop them in any way. Theyll miss 4 abilities straight so you think you can counter and heres the 5th invulnerable ability with a wide range that hits you mid dodge. It just get so stupid sometimes and becomes a massive waste of time.
