I can't stop playing this game. It does get a little funky once my family starts branching out and the inbreeding happens. And then I see my brothers and/or sisters get in relationships with someone 60+ years older than they are. And then I think, eh why don't I have my character have sex with his sister?

In all seriousness though, this game is ridiculously fun and it can only go up for me with the incoming DLCs. More added features, more wars, more incests, more inbred mutants running all over my kingdom and abroad. This was definitely my game of the year. I'm ready to pump more hours into this baby.

Disappointed is perhaps the best word I can give about this game.

Most people already talked about the plethora of bugs and technical issues, and these are issues that I'm fairly confident CDPR can swiftly fix within a few months or so. Some of the more difficult bugs (I assume at least), such as the overall AI issues and police response system, might take a while longer, but I'm not a developer so I can't give a clean answer to that one.

But all that aside, Cyberpunk 2077 is, unfortunately, a fundamentally broken game. Even with most of the technical solutions doled out and patched, the gameplay isn't as unique or as exciting as it makes it out to be. There are a TON of things they've got to add in or fix or better yet, completely revamp, because it's currently not the game they promised to be. Even if they release a few DLCs that manage the current dearth in features such as interactivity with the shops or some basic customization of cars, the gameplay isn't as fun as they advertise it to be. The story, while interesting and great, had some glaring narrative issues (the infamous prologue montage, for one) that detracted away from the 'open world RPG' element that companies like Rockstar mastered.

Now, I'm not really angry at CDPR for not delivering. They were overly ambitious, and I have no doubt they wanted to release an immersive and phenomenal game for their customers. And for what it's worth, I did get some enjoyment in the characters and story. Overall, I'd say this is a very mediocre game. I would be very reserved in recommending the game even with the technical issues fixed.

I agree with most people that the main story isn't the best, but I've had a blast playing the game regardless. Moxxi's Heist was also one of the better DLCs I've played in years. I highly recommend for returning players.

Like quite a handful of people, I've been having troubles at startup with the crashes. None of the patches so far fixed the issue for me, including the save file delete + alt-f4 methods. I'm sure the actual game itself is great, but for potential buyers, I'd wait for the developers to release some kind of major patch, but if you're willing to take the dive and take the gamble as to whether the game can run or not, be my guest. Until then, I cannot recommend the game.

I don't really like GTA-style open world type games, especially if they're done wrong, but this one is seriously one of the better ones out there. I was smiling from ear to ear the whole time through and enjoyed the humor and 4th wall breaking moments (a little cringy at times but not as bad as I had anticipated). You could tell the developers had alot of fun making this game, and for the few hours I put in so far, it's been a whole lot of fun. The game is vibrant, active, and colorful.

Think of this as a combination between Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Saint's Row, Splatoon, mixed in with a dab of those defense games. I really enjoyed it and would seriously put it up as one of my favorite games of this year. This gets an 8.5/10 for me.

Minus a few performance hiccups, this is a fantastic successor to L4D. There's a heavier emphasis on melee combat.
