I am having a blast, had some issues launching the game though. Had to re-install it after trying the first time, it was no big deal for me since I was still working. Got in adjusted the settings to how I like to play and sent it! I get around 60-80 fps on high settings with a couple of things a medium settings like shadows and reflections. For me its stable and doesn't have massive FPS drops. I am liking the setting and the humor more than BL3, it is more following the first and second games humor which is what I hoped for. I will be playing co-op soon when my wife and brother have time to play it and I will add to the review since people have been having issues with co-op. Good luck everyone and I hope you have a blast like I am!

This is a true re-master so far, I have just exited the sewers and “acquired” the statue from Vilvern. I played this game when it was released when I was a kid on my friends crappy pc back in the day, and today it feels like the same game with a face lift and extras that don’t take away from the original game.

Pros:
- Graphic overhaul is amazing, this face lift fixes one of the worst graphics from the original, character faces!
- Old voice lines within cinematics and dialogue but also new dialogue from bandits that you will recognize as some of the voice actors from Skyrim.
- Empty world has some new filling, sewers are host to bugs, grim and other visual stimulation. While the outside world is filled with flowing vegetation, butterflies, and much more.
- Combat is the same but with new animations which cover the player and the npcs.
- Interactable plants for alchemy, no longer spamming buttons to see what you didn’t pick up.
- Multiple models so far for zombies and skeletons (skeletons minor differences nothing crazy)
- Inside dungeons is smooth and caping at my monitors refresh rate of 144hz on mostly Ultra and a few graphic settings on High.

Cons:
- Some graphic issues like the emperor robe doing weird stuff.
- The open world area can be a bit demanding; I was on Ultra settings and had to turn down some stuff to high but still looks great and am getting about 60-90 fps.
- Goblin ragdolls are a bit janky but I like it but others might not, (some look like they don’t have bones)
- UI was changed from the original it’s a bit more streamlined but I would definitely like the mods for Skyrims UI more than this.

Can’t wait to crack open a fresh Oblivion gate and crush some imps!

I am currently loving S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, what I hoped actually happened. It feels like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and not just another fps. Its gritty, combat is engaging, mutants suck which is normal for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (waiting for snorks to kill me… like usual) but I like the challenge. I am playing on the hardest difficulty and am happy that so far bandits (which is all I have fought so far) aren’t bullet sponges especially with head shots. Healing is a bit easy to keep yourself alive on hard as long as you have the meds to spam the heal button. I do wish the hardest difficulty or maybe a “survival” difficulty made the game even harder such as, slower healing, bandaging takes longer, hits slow your character or could break limbs and cause you to have a hard time fighting back. Trust me its still difficult but if you get the drop on an enemy they can be wiped out pretty quickly, but this is just with bandits so far. At first look the game is great, good graphics, not too much stuttering, lighting is beautiful, darkness is dark even when I have my lighting a bit higher than I normally do. I will add on more to this review as I play, good hunting S.T.A.L.K.E.R.’s!

Death count = 6 (anomalies are kicking my butt)

Update from the Zone! The game is still blowing me away, optimization is a bit of an issue like so many others are saying, but on my rig it’s only near towns were my fps takes a hit so not much complaining. The one big gripe I do have is the AI, I believe the AI that was promised is bugged and being worked on so hopefully in the near future it will be addressed. The issues are this

1. AI runs head long into you and your bullets.
2. Every bandit is a pro pitcher that can land nades at your feet from most distances.
3. Whenever you go to a “non-hostile” bandit camp there is a chance that a hostile bandit roving party will show up and aggro the whole camp. This can be a pain if you are trying to get info from bandits or trying to do a bandit run.

On the other hand, the story is there and everywhere! I broke into a building with no marker, no stash because I saw a hole in the roof and boom side mission once I got in. Loot is everywhere and no-where, I can be the richest S.T.A.L.K.E.R. alive but have a real bad run and I dump all my money into ammo and repairs just for some bandits who had broken guns and bread.

Death Count = 35 (Mutants… nothing more)

Update 1.0.2 from the zone! After over 100 hrs of gameplay, and now 100+ deaths, I can say without a doute that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is my pick for game of the year, especially after the newest update and how many fixes were made to the game. The economy is way better, no more 50k repairs on top end armor and weapons, artifacts don’t sell for chump change anymore, and quest rewards are worth the ammo you spend doing them. There still is a lot to be fixed and I restarted my playthrough because of some issues after a major story event, and the update since my current Skif was broke so bad that I had to go back to salvaging broken weapons. See you all in the zone!

Death Count = 107 (Radiation, Falls, and Anomalies)

I am really enjoying the game! Had a bit of issues with crashes at the start, realized my graphic drivers needed an update, after no more crashes. PvP is quite fun, my only grip is no executions although the game play is very fast for executions. The campaign is awesome, I didn't even mind the prologue, it was fantastic! If you are like me and went what the H, where is multiplayer? You have to finish the prologue and the sequence just after the prologue to be able to have access to all the multiplayer stuff!

Update: Played operations and man its probably the most fun out of all of the modes, campaign would probably be better but none of my friends have the early access mode, or we have conflicting schedules. As a Cadian player in 40k and Kill Team seeing the Cadian 8th in the campaign is awesome, and of course the primaris space marines are also great looking (especially in dark angel colors!).

Good hunting, for the Lion, and the emperor protects!

This game is amazing, I haven’t had this much fun with an RTS in a while! Right now, the campaign is short although it isn’t complete yet, the story is entertaining and has a lot of questions yet to be answered. Combat isn’t as buggy as most early released RTS games and the building is so much fun, always trying to make something cool with the best defense as possible!

What really makes this game amazing is the early access custom map builder! I grew up on Warcraft III’s map editor spending hours making cool maps and mini missions but never published or put them up for others to see. Now that I am older, I want to make the game more and put out my own stories in the world of Cataclismo! So, if you are really into map building or are worried about not having enough content for your money just wait until more and more players put their stuff on the workshop! Remember games like League of Legends, Dota, and many more came from custom map builders such as this!

If you are on the fence about the game look at the workshop there are some amazing maps and builds up right now and I have started my own campaign called Caída, too be warned the map editor is still pretty bare bones so some imagination will need to be used until they add more functionality to it.

Back to the Radius a second time!

Loving the game even in its current state, movement is a bit funky but remembering the first games early access I can deal with it. The game looks great, I do kind of miss the rugged look of the first game but the new anomalies and enemies are pretty sweet! Gun handling is good just like the first game, at least with pistols, haven't gotten to rifles yet.

Looting is much more rewarding, collecting the anomalies or anomaly items such as tea cups, cubes, ect. really fill up your pack fast.

Combat is fast pace, the mimics if that's what they are still called will push you when you retreat but only so far. Screw spawns!!!

I am very happy so far for this initial build and will be happy to see what comes next!

This is an RTS I can get behind, although I love base building and macro/micro, the Last Train Home scratches an itch that I have been wanting to scratch for awhile. The mix between micro managing troop movements, and managing the train after battles is so awesome! The resource collection while in a mission that aids your trains construction and your upkeep of your troops is also something I have been wanting to get in an RTS. After all the other RTS blunders these past few years I am glad the Last Train Home does a lot of things well without bugs, crashes, or annoying game play ploys. The only thing I wish this game had was a continuous mode such as maintaining a FOB during a conflict with the same mechanics as working on the train, maybe in another game! Also I would like an actual grueling difficulty that is pre-made, you can make the game hard but I want a mode that really punishes you with an Iron Man setting to really make you angry! Overall this game is the best and great job to the devs and everyone else involved!!!

Glad Fatshark is keeping up with Darktide even with the rocky start, hope to see more content and maybe a few more classes now that things are picking up again.

I was excited to play Redfall, I was waiting for a new open-world co-op shooter and it’s sad to say I was very disappointed. First off, this game has potential but right now at launch its buggy and I can tell with less than two hours of gameplay that the story and the content will be short. The open world is not very large, and the locations have little to search for, in one neighborhood only a couple of houses are accessible. The game is really easy even on hard, the AI either bum rushes you or just misses all of the shots while the vamps usually get stuck, rush you, or plain old leave.

Pros:
- Location and the story idea is interesting.
- Has potential to be a good loot co-op shooter.

Cons:
- The game is poorly optimized like most are saying. The downtown area is the worst and will go from 120 fps to 30.
- Enemy AI doesn’t track well and has only a few actions such as rushing the player or getting stuck.
- Player and NPC animations are clunky or have issues such as player mantling or climbing.
- The skill trees are small compared to many other loot- shooters.
- Resources are in abundance! I don’t know why games do this but not every house will have a super stash of the highest-level weapons and valuables. I want to struggle for gear and valuables so that I can feel pressure and get excited when I find a good weapon.
- The shooting, moving, and aiming is clunky.

I would recommend waiting for the $70 dollar game to drop or get fixed before playing.
