They'll be useless in game, but about Gmod and SFM, they'll be very welcomed
Dogpuke 27 Sep, 2023 @ 1:35pm
The files are not of much use unless you're willing to mod the game which most people won't bother to do ... especially for a game that's as old as TF2.
Stefano (BackToGetCommissions) 27 Sep, 2023 @ 11:11am
Thanks. I'll work on it asap and I'll release it as well [and I'll credit you (obviously)].
Honestly, I wanted to send you the friendship request because I thought you wanted to give me the files in "private" (since usually stuff like this, is given in private)
Stefano (BackToGetCommissions) 26 Sep, 2023 @ 10:21am
Even just the model will be fine. I could decompile it with Crowbar and do the rest by myself (mainly because I don't want to bother you, because I'm pretty sure you're busy in real life and such)
Dogpuke 26 Sep, 2023 @ 10:19am
I have no problem with that. The issue is that finding the old model files is going to be a chore. I would need to pull my old hard drives out and search for the original source files.

The Bull Bomb. I'd like to port it over Gmod and SFM, if it's possible
Dogpuke 25 Sep, 2023 @ 7:15pm
Which item are you curious about? I'm guessing it would be either the combat mobility scooter or the bull bomb.

Hey Dogpuke. We used to play on decent teammates together a lot. I randomly remembered you out of the blue today. I hope you've been well buddy.
Durrvish 15 Jan, 2021 @ 10:05pm
Jesus christ you actually responded after years.
Dogpuke 13 Jan, 2021 @ 4:32pm
I don't use Steam much anymore. I have been playing GTA V mostly now.
Wuglug 12 Jul, 2020 @ 10:40pm
You probably dont know me, and I dont even know if you even use steam anymore, but I miss you lol. You always used the original on a turbine server we used to play on alot. Wherever you may be now, best wishes.
Durrvish 4 Nov, 2017 @ 10:30pm
I remember you I think. You were always on Lvlmeup Turbine using the original. I'd ♥♥♥♥♥ constantly about it and tryhard for some reason. About a 150 days and no onlines I guess. Saddening.

Hello DogPuke,

I was wondering if you ever play Teamfortress2 in saxton hale mode. If you do, I would like to invite you to play on PBfortress servers. If I am on when you want to check out the serers, please message me so I can show you the cool mods for the weapons and items.

Basically, items and weapons give you better stats and health.

Sincerely,
Mr. Strange Tiger

Ok, and how you apply the bone to aim, etc?
Dogpuke 29 Apr, 2013 @ 11:54am
No shape keys. It's all skeletal animation.
Xavier Bigot 29 Apr, 2013 @ 10:11am
That was that it works! Thank you, i have searched during one week.
And for the build animation you use shape keys?

And for aim you know how to set the muzzle_sentry ?
Dogpuke 29 Apr, 2013 @ 7:45am
The firs thing I see is that you declared the model as a static prop. Static props don't move.
Xavier Bigot 29 Apr, 2013 @ 3:24am
Hmm ok, i think my .QC is correct. I have made video of my problem maybe you'll notice something wrong:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK0sXtAf5X4
If you want i can send you my .blend by email.
Dogpuke 28 Apr, 2013 @ 6:50pm
You don't need to write anything special. But a proper qc file is a bit more that can be discussed here. There are examples of how to write a QC file on the web.
Xavier Bigot 28 Apr, 2013 @ 11:51am
Yes i read the bones name in my smd, what i must write in my .qc to get the bones?
Dogpuke 27 Apr, 2013 @ 7:09am
If you have two files, then you have bones. You can open the smd files with a text editor to see the list. The problem is likely something in your qc file.
Xavier Bigot 26 Apr, 2013 @ 1:01pm
Can you go online? I have two files but when i compile i still have no bones.
Dogpuke 26 Apr, 2013 @ 10:32am
Basically yes, you need to create at least one animation for your model which contains the default pose. You'll end up with 2 smd files. One contains the model and the other your animation.

I believe you can also do an smd export without having an animation explicitly defined by selecting both the mesh and the armature at the same time and doing the export.
Xavier Bigot 26 Apr, 2013 @ 8:59am
What do you mean by reference pose ? An action in the dopesheet?
Dogpuke 26 Apr, 2013 @ 7:12am
Did you create a reference pose animation for the armature?
Xavier Bigot 26 Apr, 2013 @ 4:40am
Hi,
i am making a sentry gun, i wanted to know how to apply an armature to it. I know how to do that into Blender but the .smd doesn't keep it. :(
