After avoiding this game for all the same reasons, I finally started hearing good things about it and gave it a try on the Switch. An admirable effort and an excellent port but with a new laptop, I gave the PC version a try and while functionally the same, the game runs excellently and with an addition of cross system multiplayer, No Man's Sky is great!

Definitely a game that strives for a great general experience that doesn't master any particular style of play, but there is a great time to be had following the game play loop of exploration, mining, salvaging and crafting then taking to the stars to follow the story.

I initially purchased this as a zen game and hoped to lose many hours in it, instead I found an almost alluring and charming experience that i'm happily still farming my way through...

This game. This game changed everything for me. My perspective of what a game is and can be was shattered by my experience with Life is Strange. I refuse to say anything that could even remotely spoil it so please, play this game.

Fantastic platform allowing easy access to essentially any board game you could wish for, from classics to modern day games. I've sunk so much time in this game and enjoyed all of it. And with constant updates and features being implemented, it will remain something I always go back to!

I'll admit, I was one of those people who played the original for about 30 minutes and became confused at how technical and fiddly it all seemed, so gave up. However when SoaSE : R was put on a hefty sale, I decided to do some research and after watching some YT videos of mods and other awesome moments, and with copious positive reviews both on and offline, I decided to pick it up. I'll say right now, that it's still a very fiddly game, but I've sunk about 2 evenings worth of time playing it and even more time thinking about it. It's easily one of the most proficient games when it comes to Fleet management and empire building in a Sci-Fi genre. Solid mechanics, excellent economy system and fantastic battle simulations (could still be better with more animated battles, but the particle effects and light shows are still great to watch). If you need a good comparison of a game, think Supreme Commander fused with Civilization.

Definitely worth a buy. =D
