One of the most popular and fun to play games, being at the same time highly competitive with lots of teams going head to head for a spot at the pondium. Definitely one of the best, if not the best, FPS game. Give it a chance and you'll be caught by its "charms".

Edit 1: 12k hours later, after a not-so-brief semi-pro stint and multiple encounters with cheaters at every level of play, I'd say that it's a decent pass-time activity, as long as it remains that, a pass-time activity.
On the other hand, if you're interested in trying to go pro playing CS, don't. Be casual about it and if happens, good luck. If it doesn't, no harm no foul.
Looking at reviews to decide whether you want to try playing either as a casual or with aspirations to go pro, means you already made your decision before reading these reviews and you're just looking for something to change your mind.
In conclusion, if you decide to give CS a try, be cool; be unbothered. You are looking for a game to pass time and have fun at the same time. No review can change that. Maybe this game fits your needs. Maybe it doesn't.
