Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that tries to be a cross between Deus Ex and Grand Theft Auto, but somehow manages to not do a good job at being either one. It seems clear to me that the game was rushed to release, and over a year later, many of its bugs still hasn't been fixed.

With a "major update" coming soon, I have to wonder how many of those bugs will actually, finally, get fixed. Still, the story is at least somewhat compelling, so if you're into games that have a story, then I'd get the game anyway.

* The graphics are amazing. Simply put, Stepping through the door after the short introduction nearly blew me away. Using a FX-8350, 16GB RAM and a R9 290 graphics adapter at max settings, everything from the darkest hallways to the landscapes of Mars are gorgeous and vivid.

* The single player gameplay is exactly how I hoped it'd be. There's a great deal of run-and-gun, which most modern shooters sorely lack. Exploration is paramount, as you never know what you'll find. Much like in the classic Doom, secrets are everywhere!

I can't speak so much about the multiplayer aspect, as that's not why I bought this game. This was a pure nostalgia purchase, but it's turning out to be one that I thoroughly enjoy.

This is a game in the style of RPGs of old (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Divine Divinity, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura), with a story that will unapologetically absorb you and refuses to let go of your mind. A true gaming masterpiece.
