Put the time into learning it, its so good.

I'm loving new genesis so far but I cannot recommend it for people to play, there is not enough content for that. However don't get too mislead with review. If you download this you can still play the original PSO2 which has a lot of content to play. It is especially fun if you find a guild to play with.

If all you want to is play New Genesis, you will be just grinding until new content comes out. I find the open world to this to be really cool and I feel that it breathes new air into the phantasy star online formula. It sucks that the meseta from PSO2 doesn't transfer to NG but it makes sense why.

I like that you can just get scratch items in either game and it'll transfer to the other game.

Give PSO2 a try if you like games like MH or mmos. Bosses are fun to fight and, in some instances, really crazy. The classes are fun to play, bringing unique gimmicks. The game is also solo friendly, but having a guild to play with can make it exponentially enjoyable. I currently recommend PSO2 but not NGS until there is more content added.

This game has potential to be fun. If you like tower defense games then you will enjoy this game. I played some of the alpha a while back and it seems that gearbox has kept the game play has been consistent.

There seems to be a learning curve at the beginning. Having to gather resources and finding what bandit camps you can clear though trial and error. I admit I haven't really looked into the game mechanics that thoroughly and that might be deeper than just random camp placements.

I played it solo but I don't really see me recommending it to friends. The price is decent for what this game is. The game wasn't for me. The game play loop seemed boring to me, just rushing to get resources to make armor and weapons in order to defend effectively, but give it a try if you have people to play with and you like survival/tower defense games.

The cash shop looked good since it seemed to me that you could acquire both types of currency without spending IRL money. I didn't play much to confirm this.

It's fun.

A completely different game from RoR 1. You don't need to play RoR1 in order to enjoy this one. Has infinite replayability due to the game play loop it provides. Characters are fun to play and unique.

The only downside is if you do not like 3rd person games/cameras.

Worth it to give a try. Fun either solo or with people.

Don't buy this game if you're thinking about it, you will waste your time.

Either by connection issues or by the stale gameplay. The lack of information given on this game is astonishing, its fine that its early accesss but they didn't tell anyone what is in the game. People that didn't play ark did not know what they were getting into. You might argue that that is their problem but imo they shouldn't have to do research for 5 hours on a different game to see what is in the game they want to play.

You should not buy this game.

Good hack and slash game, gives off a dmc vibe.

Combat feels really good and fluid. Hits have some force behind them so it feels good when you land combos. The game is really easy once you parry enemies and learn what to dodge or jump.

There are alot of power-ups you can get if you're into that kind of stuff but it includes alot of back tracking. You can beat the game without the power ups easily if you learn the boss movesets.

The final boss fight is kind of a let down compared to the last boss in LoD 1.

Cleared on Lord of Shadow mode.
