Obvious Portal vibes but tries to take itself much more serious. For the most part, it succeeds. The story is intriguing enough to keep you interested between puzzles and the puzzles themselves are great. There are only a couple that will likely frustrate you but beyond those, they're all pretty easy to figure out.

What's not easy to figure out is if I'm a robot or not. I think the game itself was a Turing Test but I don't really know what is what anymore.

Great game. The puzzles are a perfect balance of accessibility and difficulty so just about anybody can play and enjoy. The story is cute and aims to be deeper than it really accomplishes but is still well done. There is a single narrator for everything which is a bit of a double edged sword in that it gives it a real night time storybook vibe but can also come off as lazy in regards to voice acting in parts.

All in all - it's not going to win game of the year but it absolutely deserves the "Overwhelmingly positive" review status. Not every game needs to be the best of the year and Last Campfire doesn't try to earn this title. Instead it just aims to be a charming story backdropped by some very enjoyable puzzles and it hits its mark perfectly in that regard.

The music was brilliant - the "game" wasn't. I get that this is supposed to be an artsy experience and it's FREE but come on..... can we get past these pretentious art projects and get back to making legitimate GAMES?
