I honestly do like this game and its concept, but I can't really recommend it in its current state.

The issue I have with this game is less to do with its mechanics (even though they are terrible) but more to do with the robots and how you actually play the game.
You have all these parts and methods of propulsion. Legs, wheels, even flying is an option but in nearly every game only one of these matters. The robot you spent hours perfecting and making is worth nothing compared to a hovering 6x6 cube with a top tier laser on it.
The general idea that robot design doesn't actually matter anymore like it did back then just depresses me, and don't even get me started on the fact ANY bot can use ANY weapon combination.
Back then, you had specialized vehicles for specific jobs. It was better and made sense, what doesn't make sense is a hovering cube tank which looks like a 2 year old slapped it together in 5 seconds which is capable of healing, tanking and stealth all in a vehicle that belongs on the r/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ subreddit.
