I've been interested in Tarkov for a couple years now but held off on buying the game until it came out of beta and despite all the theatrics and the pretty Steam bowtie, this game is undoubtedly still in development. The game itself is as addicting as it is frustrating and I can't get enough of chasing the high of hugging cover and timing my movements to scavenge whatever I can only to eventually have my body riddled with bullets after failing to find an extraction point. The difficulty curve is extremely steep and you have to pay attention in raids and do your own research if you don't want to get your head blown off at every turn but this amount of challenge makes sense with just how much detail is put into the game. What doesn't make sense is how indecisive and prone to change BSG is to the game post-release, especially since they've been cooking this one up for around 13 years now. Release day was a disaster and while they are doing what they can to recover, I can't seem to understand why they've made 3 different changes to the tutorial rewards a few days after release and not when they had all that time to decide on something while in beta. Not to mention that pushing Tarkov into 1.0 didn't seem get rid of many if not most of the optimization issues and bugs the game suffered through in beta. The pricing for their packages is also just plain disgusting. I understood back when the game was in development and they needed funding but locking stash and container upgrades along with PvE behind a pay wall that would total to ~$140 on top of the $50 price tag for the base game is atrocious.

All in all, game is a blast but incomplete, and the price for each upgraded edition is absurdly high for things you should get with the base game.
