Every time ARK is updated you lose all the settings you have previously made. Which means you're stuck listening to deafening music and using the poor controls they decided to use. The added bonus is that now, when you leave a friends game, when loading back in you respawn at a bed without your stuff effectively meaning that if you don't return home, if you crash, if the game glitches out, you have lost all the things you have made. To top this all off, if you want to progress without cheats, good luck. Last time the game updated, all of my levels were lost, all of my engrams unlearned, all skills undone and I could no longer manually level. This time the game decided to add 20 levels, right at the end of the game meaning all of the progress you have made is topped off at the end with thousands of points of experience. Once they fix the updating, fix the spawning, fix the levelling, then I may play again.

Playing a Germany game and all is going well. 1940 hits and all hell breaks lose. Italy declares war on me with Hungary but I already have expeditionary forces sent to Japan. I request them back and find they are on islands, not even fighting. Bear in mind these are fully equipped 40 combat width units. I was furious. Anyway, the French Empire decides it wants a go to and even though they are monarchist they still bring in the allies. This is after the UK had declared war on the Netherlands because they were going fascist because of their focus tree. So the UK had an easy foothold to Europe through that bullshittery. I have barely enough units for this but see what I can do. I manage to hold with a sliver of Germany from the Alps up to Danzig. Then the civil war I triggered in France goes off, but the fascist French decide to join the Italians, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great. I manage to push back the British and the new Fascist France. All the land is going to Belgium who joined me for some random reason, I didn't invite them in. I'm about to stick it to the Italians, when all of a sudden the British naval invade Belgium, they instantly capitulate and all the work I had done to conquer France was undone in an instant. Both Frances were back, both at war with me. I tried to hold out longer. I took Rome, I took Palermo, but then the HUNGARIANS, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Hungarians of all people, managed to pull their finger out after years of stalemate and attack me full on. The troops are now sandwiched between the UK and Hungary with no escape. Game over. PLEASE PARADOX. PLEASE. FIX IT SO THE NATION THAT DOES THE WORK GETS THE LAND, NOT THE NATION THEY WENT THROUGH.

I will never get enough of this game. No matter how many playthroughs. Fantastic!

A wonderful game if you have a lot of time and you want to destroy the peacful, nuke loving civilization of India.
