So far the Yakuza series is just a win overall. Delightful density of diverse diversions, engaging narratives and side stories, an increadible feeling of a breathing world, fun beat-em-up combat with spectacular special moves....

Its everything you >WANT< an open world game to be. When you play your massive immersive worlds with miles of empty space that only serves to let the devs brag about how its the biggest map ever, this is the sort of thing you wish they'd done. Stuff to do, stuff to run into, stuff to engage with everywhere.

This is without me even mentioning the best bromance in fiction that is Kiryu and Majima.

If you haven't played 0, buy that, play the ♥♥♥♥ out of it, then come on back to pick things back up with the two best boys. Its a series that really takes you through Kiryu's life, and I adore it for giving me the chance to follow so much of such a satisfying stoic.
