An "organic" love letter to the RTS genre. A must buy RTS title.

You play as a massive organic entity, equally capable of expanding into a sprawling base and a creeping swarm that blankets your enemies. The incredible part is how well you can transition from gigantic static entity to a flood of zerging attackers. It feels glorious.

As an older and slower gamer I don't think I can even see the skill ceiling on this game. But, as an older and slower gamer I love that I feel like I can play well enough to feel competent and sometimes proud of what I've accomplished.

Pros - deep core RTS game play, over 1000 organ combinations possible for a single unit, control a unique entity that's a cross between the Zerg, Biollante and the Blob. half a dozen game modes (3 of them are very similar). Live action cut scenes (great! if you enjoy earnest media with low production value). A cool setting with vast potential.

Cons - the game is in early development and once in awhile feels like it. There are 5 Campaign levels so far (I'm just greedy and want more PvE conten). The game can be micro-management intensive and currently has no tactical pause feature (a luxury for PvE players like me that can't react nearly as well as they can think). The 'attack-move' doesn't feel quite right from my time playing other RTS games. Since it's early access, these things could very well change.

As a 50 year old, life long gamer, I can say there is something special about Moduwar and I couldn't be happier that I found it.

I am having a great time!

50 hours in and I have not completed the story yet. I am sure I could have done it much faster, but I am having so much fun building up my base and trying out different load outs of gear I am in no rush.

I have played in 5-6 of the co-op missions. They have been pretty exciting and really worth doing for the rewards. The waiting for a group can take five minutes and sometimes you won't have a full group of four. This does make the mission more difficult but still since there are different levels of success, you can still come out way ahead on resources.

The story so far (I am close to the end) has been a weird mix of cool sci-fi concepts and works quite well for me. Dite is a world I sure wouldn't want to do to in real life. But, playing as the Captain, I love it! The early game struggle to survive was super satisfying for a survival game fan like myself. The mid-game thriving and building stage was really well done. Building a homebase in such a hostile environment feels great. Exploring deeper into the Dust was so fun I wish it would never end. I am looking forward to the end game (after story) game play!

I haven't spent anything on microtransactions, mostly because I don't really want anything in the game store. The only thing I might get is some additional squads. That is something I can buy with the currency I earn from my daily log in rewards.

I do recommend MGSurvive. While it is not a Kojima game, it does stand on its own.

I will be watching Voodoo very closely. The art style is fantastic and I want to spend more time in that setting.

I played for a bit over an hour and was disappointed. If you aren't a part of a large group, there is no reason to play this game. The direct focus on pvp and the giant boss fights mean small groups are at a horrible disadvantage and solo play looks absolutely terrible. I am primarily a solo player and there is no place for that play style in the current build. It feels like a really bad version of every other survival / crafting / pvp game out there. I had to get a refund but am eager to buy once there is more of a game there and solo play is a possibility.

I hope the game mechanics in Voodoo grow up to meet the wonderful art design and themes.

One of the most fun games that I own.

I play Infested Planet a couple times every week. I have played through the story mode several times and will probably do so again. The weekly challenges give me all the reason I need to keep on coming back for more. And now there is a campaing mode (sorta like Risk) which is just excellent!

The tactical combat is incredibly satisfying. The way you have to adapt to the ever evolving enemies makes for some of the best squad based combat I have ever played. There are so many interesting combinations of units, reasearch and tech you can build... I am still discovering new ways to win.

Infested Planet has been updated and improved so many times I have lost count. It is years old and still the developer is still showing love for this unique gem of a game.

I cannot recommend Infested Planet strongly enough.

The best survival experience I have found in a game yet.

It is challenging without feeling entirely unfair. When you fail, you can generally look back at a moment of poor decsion making. The game play is fairly simple with a basic gathering / crafting mechanic. The hunting is one of the best I have played with wounded prey collapsing from their injuries at the end of long trackable trails of blood droplets. The combat system is more of a struggle system and does a fair job of capturing the desperate feeling of being mauled by a wild animal.

I wish I knew who to thank for this quote, "It is like living in a painting that wants to kill you." And it is like that. The game is gorgeous. Every sunset and daybreak warrants a screen capture. The sound effects are splendidly encompassing. The music is subtle and lovely. This is one of the rare games that I feel like I am in another world.

A great game and must buy for any survival game or immersion gaming focused player.

I played the original and Breakdown DLC for over 200 hours. I am very happy with the quality of the YOSE and will be playing it for 200+ hours as well. I still have not even played through the Lifeline DLC story.

A great game with incredible replayability.

(edit) I have now played YOSE for 400+ hours, completed Lifeline and am still loving the game.

Great game. The squad combat is both exciting and allows you to flex your tactical instincts. The core game play is as good as any other game I've played. The graphics are simple and the sound effects could have used some variety. The developer released many updates and patches to the game shortly after release. For the price the game is a must buy. With my 25+ hours of game time, I am a very happy customer.

My favorite genre of games are survival games and Don't Starve is the survival game that I played a great deal of time.

There is always something interesting to do and a new challenge to overcome. I am a fan of Don't Starve because of the easy to pick up game play and the surprising depth to the game's mechanics.

The Tim Burton'esqu hand drawn style graphics are not really the sort of thing that would attract me. The sound effects are fine but could use some more variety. The music is good but repetetive.

There are hundreds of hours of fun to be had playing this odd little game.
