Not exactly a satisfying experience as the puzzles get jankier down the line and a disappointing ending that leaves no one happy.

Not enough cool skins and they're way too hard to get, if at all.

Game's good though.

F.3.A.R. is a fun game. It's not a F.E.A.R. game by any stretch of the imagination, so if that's what you're expecting, go play something else. However, it is a fun game. It's a good time and if you haven't played any of the other F.E.A.R. games and don't really intend to, you're not going to miss out on much if you play this.

If you have played any of the other ones, go into this with the knowledge that this is only a continuation of the story, not of the gameplay.

If you've never played a souls-like game before in your life and wonder if the genre is anything for you, give this one a go. It goes for a low price all over the internet frequently and it's a nice entry level game.

Or skip this entirely, since Dark Souls is straight up more fun.

This game laughs at you for playing it and the goal is to laugh harder.

Edit: it laughs even harder on release, but you've got new jokes.

Second edit: every DLC makes it laugh harder.

This review is like the game: too short and should probably be longer; it looks good, but it controls bad.

If you just stick to the standard maps, it may get a little tedious, but the devs keep adding things to make it interesting again, plus the plethora of custom maps ranging from pretty good to pretty lame.

Compared to the first one, there's some things lost in transition and most of the weapons have come over, but there's also some new ones. However, the most important difference compared to Killing Floor is that perk griding isn't as much a thing anymore. Rather than having to grind two different things to level up a perk, some of which require some degree of luck (looking at you commando), the perk XP system means you can change up your gameplay a little bit even in class.

The story is pretty good, the dialog and characters are well written. However the gameplay tends to get in the way of the story, which is an innate thing with RPG maker games.

This is a thing everyone that is trying to make a game should be wondering: is RPG maker really the best vessel for the story I'm trying to tell (unless you're Kan Gao)?
