Let's Build A Zoo? More Like Let's Make Me Late For Work!

As a kid, I loved sim/management type video games. Sim City, Sim Ant, Sim Life. Lots of sims. Sid Meyer's Railroad Tycoon! Later on, games like Pokémon came out, and like millions of other I was bitten by the collecting bug. Let's Build A Zoo brings management games and creature collecting games together in an amazing way. Not only are there 60 base animals to collect, but each animal has 10 breeds, or variants. 600 different animals may seem like enough (is it ever enough?), but with DNA splicing that number increased to over 300,000!

Besides managing your zoo and breeding and collecting your animals, there are also morality choices you can make. Do you want to recycle your trash or burn it? Will you allow someone to paint a goose so you can call it a peacock? Use your animal pens to dispose a body? Will you build wind turbines will you build a belt factory? As you increase your morality down the path of good or evil, more and more options open up.

Between the mechanics, the pixel art style, and a development team that is eager to listen to and implement feedback, I give Let's Build A Zoo 5 hippos out of 5.
