To it's merit, I like the idea very much, and on the visual side the game delivers. The world, in my opinion, is in dire need of more well-made close quarters combat multiplayer games.

This game, sadly enough, falls short. It's just plain unresponsive. No matter what you try, more than often you end up with your guy just dolting around, looking like a jackass while taking a beating. Enemy swings from your left, you have a left block ready, you get hit anyway. You dodge it, more than likely you get hit anyway. You try to interrupt the attack, your quick jab somehow gets interrupted instead without reason. It's a dice roll what happens in any given situation, which is why everybody eventually just throws out the reflex-tactics-gameplay and spams the ♥♥♥♥ out of Light Attack.

And of course, I'm talking about normal situations. The game has special attacks and modifiers which can make your attacks Unblockable or Uninterruptable, which would otherwise be a fine addition if not for the sorry state of the actual mechanics. Spamming just tends to get the job done quicker.

It doesn't help that the game is also P2P. Whether it's the controls not meeting the required expectations or the P2P connection screwing up everything, I can safely say that the combination of both provides for an unbelievably unsatisfying experience.
