game froze, pc crashed, save file corrupted. 230 hours gone, 0/10 would not recommend

it was off to a really good start. i enjoyed it up to a certain point. the game gates you out of content until you hit a certain gear score. to reach that gear score you need to upgrade it using materials gathered from dailies and quest grinding.

this is all fine, but when you upgrade gear there is a chance it fails and your materials from that attempt are lost. the higher your level of gear, the more materials it costs and the more chance it has to fail - meaning RNG can cost you hours of time you spent grinding for those materials, which you will need to gather again for another attempt.

i lost hundreds of gold and hours of time when i failed an attempt to hone my weapon to +15 which had a 70% chance of success, and i am just not willing to even try again. the reward doesn't seem worth the cost after that point. there are those who overcome this barrier by swiping their card in the shop but no thanks.

if you're willing to face the RNG and bear its consquences, while still enjoying yourself, then go right ahead

this has everything in it that a good game should. except PVP, if that's your thing.

- good story, featuring an entire ecosystem
- immersive environment, highly detailed
- quest system that keeps you engaged
- replayable
- excellent progress and reward system
- co-operative play with others (optional)
- easy to learn, difficult to master

it's worth every cent and more. the game is a masterpiece.

this is the most underrated game in my whole library

best $5 i ever spent

CDPR made a few mistakes and it would be a lie to pretend there are no problems here, but this is still a great game and the negative reviews fail to acknowledge that. It may not be as revolutionary as the developers promised but it is at least as fun as the Witcher 3 was and you will not be bored.

idk if people who don't play Dota would enjoy it but those who do probably would. for a free game it's pretty fun. it changes so fast though it can be hard to keep up with, and some of the updates are a bit wild. but for a game that uses very few resources and one which doesn't ask for money every 5 seconds it's pretty great.
