Still a excellent game after all these years highly recommend for anyone. With proper build you can cheese everything with relative ease so skill isn't a huge issue when it comes to getting through the game. 10/10 would play again.

8/10, if you like Dragon age: origins, or cRPGs with a more of a real time combat system this game is for you.

If you can look past the constant crashing and loading screen freezes which will most likely plague you the whole time, its a great game. However be prepared to go in the same cave and warehouse some dozen of times throughout the game. Story goes out in a bit of a whimper but the characters were overall great and fully voice acted protagonist certainly helps to make dialogue flow smoothly.

Combat system is great and by setting your tactics properly you don't necessarily have to micro them on lower difficulties. Nightmare however is a nightmare, there will be a lot of threat management and moving your party around manually as healers got gimped hard unless you have Anders using panacea the whole time which is a bad idea in itself. Cross class combos were a great addition to the combat but unfortunately warriors got the short end of the stick having the 2 best damage skills also do massive friendly fire damage on nightmare so they will mostly be setting up the combos instead of executing them which is a bit of a shame.

8/10 would buy again if they remade the game, made it stop crashing and added some variety to the dungeons and other locations.

While not as great as the rest of the soulsborne line up, DS2 holds up as a great game. While some things such as tying iframes on rolls to a stat was a terrible idea, rest of the gameplay mechanics are fleshed out well. Pretty much all weapons are viable and will be able to be used New game+ and onward. There is plenty of pve content as the dlc's come with sotfs edition so a first playthrough can get up to 60 hours or more if you do everything and take your time. Pvp has its usual jank, but DS2 seems to get more janky as time goes on probably because the few pvp players still playing keep finding new weird tech while they keep abusing the net code. Personally i prefer DS1 and DS3 pvp over DS2, however some people will say DS2 has the best pvp so i suppose whether or not you'll like it would need for you to play it yourself.

Great game even in 2020 for those who enjoy 3rd person action adventure games, unfortunately the second half of the game (Geothermal Valley) and beyond seem to be optimized badly and the game ended up crashing around 7-10 times sometimes losing me quite a bit of progress as i was playing on extreme survivor difficulty. But as long as you visit camp sites every 20-30 minutes or so i'd say you'd be largely fine. 8/10, would bang Lara.
