Parts of it can feel repetitive and sometimes you'll make almost all the way through a mission before getting spotted and all that times feels wasted, but it is generally very fun to play. Part of the issue is that the game seems very fun to play as a commando, but the game design does not want you to do that in a nonlethal way by having the nonlethal version of weapons cost more in materials and be harder to obtain and generally worse. The stealthier, nonlethal way tends to be more boring and time consuming as you're waiting on patrols, waiting on conversations between people patrolling, and taking a long time crawling everywhere.

All the best stuff about AOE2 with some improved quality of life, graphics, and general feel.

You think it's not going to be that fun and then you play and you suck and you think, how is this so fun? Why is this so fun? And then you play like fifty hours getting slowly better but are still pretty bad and think, this is what games are supposed to be.
