So. I wouldn't recommend this to someone just picking up the game and not having any friends who play. It's not friendly to new players. The New Light quest does nothing to let you know what kind of world you're in, or provide background, lore, or anything of the sort.

The best thing you can do when picking up Destiny 2 as a newbie is to run directly to Amanda Holliday in the East part of the Tower, and pick up the legacy quests for Red War and start there. It gives you a much better idea of what's going on in the world, and helps you progress better.

I came to this game as a result of playing and absolutely adoring Tales of Symphonia. I gotta say, this game really doesn't measure up in the same way.

I plugged about 40-50 hours into the game as I figured ToS was amazing, this would take a good turn, but imo it really didn't. The story and character arcs are convoluted and uninteresting. One my favorite parts of ToS was how great all the characters were, but I didn't connect with anybody in ToB, I found the characters either 1 dimensional or just plain annoying. The combat is ridiculously complex and I was still getting tooltips on how to do combat after 40 hours of gameplay and in my mind more complicated doesn't equal more good.

Ultimately, if you're a JRPG fan I'm sure there are aspects you may enjoy, but it definitely wasn't for me.

Like Earthbound? Then you'll love this game. Undertale has made it's way into my top 5 of all time. While it's a short game, the story is so great, so cohesive, and has so much depth that multiple play throughs are an absolute must. The graphics and animations are simple, but whimsical, and the personalities of the main characters are well done and heartwarming.

Most definitely one of the best original Soundtracks I've ever heard in a game. Really well done, and worth the extra money for the downloadable files. I listen to them all the time.

10/10 Did a genocide run. Had a bad time.

This game is oddly addictive. As a passport agent for a fictional (assumably Soviet-like country), you can deny or allow people entry to the country based on the papers they're carrying, and the rules instituted by the state (which get more complex over time). Small storylines get told through brief conversations with each individual, and daily newspapers.

Sounds boring but is an incredibly fun game.

Starts out as a decent game with a good story and an interesting battle mechanic. While the story remains pretty good, the gameplay deteriorates and becomes monotonous over time, making the game much more boring.

This is a great throwback to the original XCom: UFO Defense from the 90s. The difficulty at the lower difficulties makes it much more playable than the original, but stays true to UFO Defense at the higher ones. Definitely worth the money, so much fun!
